I looked at the calendar today, and realized "Wow! Next Thursday is Thanksgiving! Where has the time gone?"
It seemed that just yesterday I was buying my copy of HBP!
I thought it might be nice to share with others what we are thankful for (strictly voluntary, of course)
So here goes. This year, I'm thankful for:
My family, and their continued good health.
My job, even though I complain about it.
Wonderful books to read (HBP) and movies to see (GoF)
Alan Rickman
The wonderful people I've met here and over on the CoS forums (y'all are great!)
That pretty much covers most everything..

I am thankful that we celebrate thanksgiving in October here in Canada ;D
ok more seriously...
I am thankful I can be happy
thankful that I can live in the moment and enjoy the little things... the way the snow falls, the softness of my dog, the smell of fresh brewed coffee
I am thankful I have love in my life.

We don't have Thanksgiving here in the UK but i can still be thankful for things! I am thankfull for True friends, the moon the stars and alot more that i can't think of at the mo'. Oh yes i am definatly thankfull for the birth of Alan Rickman, Jk Rowling and Emma Thompson.

Hmmm...too many things to name but I suppose I'd put Family, faithful friends, and God's merciful and loving touch on my life in the top 3. And of course I am thankful for all the talented actors out there who make us laugh and occasionally drool a bit.  |

There are many things that I am thankful for, but I don't want anyone to fall asleep with boredom, so I'll keep it related to Alan! First of all, I am very thankful to EmmyMik for setting up this site, because I found a bunch of wonderful people here. Also to Cissy for thinking of this thread ! I'm thankful for the great moderators, and for their setting us straight whenever it is needed. I am absolutely thankful for Alan Rickman: Without him, this site wouldn't exist in the first place, and I wouldn't have found such wonderful people to chat with. Also.... I'm thankful that Alan Rickman exists, because he gives me hope that true talent means something, as well as, having a well rounded artistic education. He is the true meaning of "Don't just do something Half ***ed". When you do something...do it with all your heart, do it right, and mean what you do! Do I sound sappy  ? Well...it is Thanksgiving after-all! I love turkey! ;D Yummy to my tummy  ! with love, giggin Happy Thanksgiving! |

How can you eat a poor defencless animal  I am a vegetarian so i don't eat any meat at all, not that i go around telling people not to. I do eat fish though but thats because i don't like them. I am also thankful for all the lovely, cute and scary animals in the world, including the poor Turkeys at this time, think of them ;D  |

yummy...turkey and fish!  ....  Hey...I didn't make up the tradition  ! I am not a vegetarian, but I don't eat red meat, because I do not like the taste of it, so give me a little credit will ya ;D? I am very thankful that the tradition for Thanksgiving isn't eating Green Slimy Slugs ! Just thought I would say that, since we are in the 'what are you thankful for' thread! |

A Fantastic Family..
A Roof over my head..
Food in my belly...
Money in the bank(even if it only stays there for a day!!!!)
Chocolate...
Love...
Mates...
And of course...
Alan Rickman...Who without I would have never have got to know so many fantastic people like you guys,but mostly Giggin,who is a terrific mate....And of course for him being him,if you know what I mean......lol

I'm thankful for
My Parents - Being the sweetest parents alive and for staying together through the tough times and believe me they have had a few.
My Family - No matter where I am in the world I know that they are there.
My cute little King Charlie Spaniel/Giant Chihuahua - He's called Monty and he is twelve years old, he's my best friend and the thing that keeps me warm at night. Whenever I am sad or depressed I just have to look in his gorgeous brown puppy eyes and that's it, and sometimes when I cry he licks me half to happiness.
My mackerel tabby Spicy cat - He is seventeen years old and is rather gorgeous and friendly and I love him even though I am ashmatic and allergic to him I can't help but look in his big green eyes and melt.
Roof over my head, food especially Chocolate, chips, and sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice.
And of course I am thankful for all those wonderful writers like Jo and Charles and Jane that gives us something to dream about when times are down.
And last but definitely no means least, I am thankful for Alan Rickman forever, for being a wonderful actor, and from all reports, a wonderful person and for going through tough things himself with still a smile on his face (I can't imagine what I would have done if I lost my father as a child!)
And a little side note, thank you to all you guys for making me realise I am not alone in my love of this man as I thought I was!

I also am thankful for something really silly,but it must be said,seen as I did not put it in the list of mine.... My belove Liverpool FC.... Silly,but I am thankful for them,they make me happy......LOL (When they are winning of course LOL) ;D And Hermoine13snape,you are so welcome.... |

Well I am thankful for my three year old baby boy...who runs me ragged like he should! ;D ...for my husband who I adore. ;D ...for even though I lost my job yesterday, knowing that I am still in better shape than some of the other people out there...and I wish them all luck  ...for my insane, huge extended family ...for all of my friends...especially Alex who is my soul sister. ...for ARAS...and for billywiggy for making me come here!! ;D ...for all things HP and SW...they complete me!! |

Ringo that's all right!
Oh and Liverpool FC (even though I don't like football much, come to think of it I'm not into sport much!) but Liverpool is a football team I have soft spot and am happy when they win! I did actually cry once when they lost!
