I use paint shop pro 10 (oohhhh, trial period is almost over..now do I want to shell out the over 100 bucks??) but you can do it in paint as well.
You find a base (like ILCK's site) and then you save that and then draw hair, clothes and stuff on them. You just do it pixel by pixel and it turns out nice.
My first ones were rubbish so don't get discouraged.

Thanks everyone for the praise. ;D me too, I love it - TigerSnake, make more .... LOL. That's very nice but it took time to even draw those stick figures. If you guys want, you can give me an idea of what you want and I'll use stick-Snape to tell the story... but obviously not long.

Tigersnake, have you read Cissy's story, 'The Dance Lesson?' The link is in the fanfiction thread and I think that would be perfect for a stick-Snape story!

ROFL: "It is traditional for the champions to open the Yule Ball with a dance. It will not be jumping around and waving your arms wildly, as I understand that type of ‘dancing’ is popular." That was hilarious! Okay I read it and I loved it. LOL I'll try to work something out.

By request from radiantlight, I read Cissy's " The Dance Lesson" and drew a Snape-stick comic or whatever you call it. (I hope it's okay Cissy that I used your story.) Anywho, here you go:
