I know it isn't strictly Alan news, but it kinda is; its an Alan movie and the news is that lucky Alan wasn't there to see my miserable wet face looking all gloomy  Boy do I wish I'd been in sunny LA too!Well, Ringo, thanks for your thoughts, but I didn't find a dry place and got absolutely drenched! I'm lucky I don't have pneumonia right now! You're probably expecting me to say I had a fab time and I have hundreds of pictures but its the exact opposite. I wanted to leave and I have no photos!I just got back and should be unpacking so I'll briefly summarise: 1) Arrived on Saturday, Odeon being fitted with GOF stuff. Leicester Square was blocked off and a giant walkway being put up. Asked a security guy what was going on, he said fans had to be in the park, around the Odeon would be blocked off and get here early. 2) Arrived at 8am Sunday, joined queue to get into park area. 3) 10.30am got lead into park, got front row place next to the walkway, but down one of the paths that lead into/out of the park. Security said actors would come down to see the fans. Thought this was fab, put up our banner and sat waiting. 4) 4.30pm Drenched through my coat and clothes, squished and cold, crushed and miserable  Security guy blocked off our pathway and said no actors would be coming down. Consoled myself that I would see them walk over the walkway and they may defy the security and come down. 5) 5.15pm Press were overtaking the place!! Actors arrived at far corner to us, saw the press, interviewed by Jenny for the web feed thing, saw more of the press, barely went over to a few fans and went to the walkway. A few waved at us (Robbie Coltrane, Clemence Posey, Rupert) and they went to the fans who were waiting by the Odeon (funny..... we got told we couldn't stand there!!!  ) 6) Tried taking pictures but it was too dark. Our area wasn't even lit!!! Made a couple of blurry shaky videos I hope to salvage something from them  7) Came away at 6.30, no decent photos, no autographs, just soggy clothes and a down trodden heart  I really believe that this year the premiere was all about the publicity and not about the fans. I'm glad Alan wasn't there because it would have broken my heart to see him walk straight past into the cinema. I do not blame any of the cast as they will have been doing what they were told to do and that was speak to the press, wave to the fans and disappear. I'm not sure if they signed autographs at other areas of the park but we certainly didn't even get acknowledged! The premiere turned into a media frenzy, with flashy special effects from the dragon and smoke and sound effects. The fans were left to squint to see anything! Yours, dingruntled On a cheerier note, I enjoyed my Saturday in Covent Garden and I had a fantastic time seeing Kevin Spacey in Richard II!! I got his autograph at the stage door and a little chat with him ;D

However i switched MTV on the other day and there it was a clip from GoF, i knew i had to switch it off but i needed to watch it! Anyway it was when Harry is doing the first task and then he goes up in the air with the dragon after him, and there he was, Snape in the stands looking pretty fine  |
