I'm so glad to be back here. My computer crashed Wednesday afternoon. I had to get a new hard drive and reinstall everything.
Fortunately, I had just made a disc with my Alan photos (along with all my other pics), my saved games, knitting/crocheting patterns, writings, and other business stuff. Unfortunately, I'd not saved any emails or embroidery patterns. Oh well.
So all day today I've been reinstalling everything. Eugh. My wrist hurts...

Awww man...that is horrible Cissy...what a nightmare, to have to retrieve all of your files and/or programs. It's great that you had copies of all your Alan photos, because afterall...those are the most important things of course ! And certainly, saving ARAS to your favorites online again was a definite first priority ! LOL! Karma point for you !

All is not as lost as it once seemed regarding the computer! My uncle was able to somehow retrieve the emails and digitized embroidery designs off the old hard drive...and he said he'd be able to do it again (get stuff off of the drive) if I found I needed to yank off anything else. And I was able to send all my music files from my mp3 player back to the new hard drive, so that's taken care of too. Take that, computer!
Actually, this new hard drive works much better...so quiet...so quickly!

Up to my knees, dear Winky, but my school was closed today woo hoo! The good hews is that the snow is melting fast; the bad news is school will reopen tomorrow and I'm baking 150 chocolate chip cookies for visiting day. Mmmm.. can you smell them? I'm sending virtual cookies to all of you!

Oh i bet it's lovely have you made a snowman? Or a snow Alan or even a snow cake! well if you are baking you might has well, now there is a thought I have just been browsing the web and i came across the slightly weird Alan Rickman website (well thats what they call it) and they have there own chat bard like us but the difference to us is they are all completely nuts! Too rude for my liking but then everyone is different. they have an Adult bit and they talk about an sexual relationship between our snape and Hermione now that is disgusting! Oh yeah and i expect a cookie sent to my house Olwen.

Here comes your cookie, Winky Enjoy! Sadly, no snowman but I did think about Snow Cake today I saw the slightly wierd Alan site, too. Some of it was funny but the other stuff shocked me a little too, so here I am safe at home with friends, and it couldn't be lovelier.

I have the flu with 101 fever today, and I stayed in bed and watched "Sense and Sensibility" ! Poor sweetie! I sure do hope you're feeling better. 'Sense & Sensibility' was just what the doctor ordered, I'm sure . . . if the Colonel can read to Marianne when she's sick - he can help you out as well Rest and get well . . . make your hubby pamper you on Valentine's Day!

The Flu??? You poor thing! I hope your doctor gave you some Tamiflu! My prescription for you is More Alan and Lots of Hubby Pampering (both with unlimited refills) ;D
I can't imagine 20 inches of snow...the most we've seen down here is about 15 or so during the infamous Blizzard of '93! We did get a light dusting Saturday evening--it was so pretty to watch it fall. I wish we would get more snow than we do here in the winter, but I guess that's why they call it the South!

Well I had to call in sick from work today, so I was able to get some hubby pampering like you all had prescribed...thanks ! Although I did get in Sense and Sensibility the other day, I did not get in any Alan goodness today, because I slept most of the day away ! I am feeling much better now because I broke my fever *Hurray*! Thanks for the cookie Olwen Cissy...20 inches of snow is a lot of fun when you get the day off work the next day ;D! It has already started to melt though, so it is now about 8 or so inches by now! It's not bad on the roads because the plows do a really good job keeping them clear and safe to drive on! Still...it's not good to go out driving in all the snow, but it is really fun to watch from the safety and warmth of your home , not that I was going anywhere with the flu or anything anyway ! I guess it was a good time (if there is even a good time), to get sick!
