I think the Alan dreams would qualify for the "I was thinking of Alan..." thread (because you were thinking of Alan in your sleep). As for non-Alan dreams, perhaps the general chit-chat thread we have going?
But that's just me. **steps aside to let others have their say**

No I agree with it going into the "I was thinking of Alan..." thread. Okay I have an idea: We post a picture (I guess it doesn't have to be of Alan- or Snape-realted) and the next person adds a quote to the previous picture and adds a new pic. This would obviously go under "Fun & Games." What do you think?

A year ago on cosforums.com on the alan rickman thread(s), there was something going on. It was like you voted for something for Alan Rickman. For example, best villian and there were 5 or 6 roles Alan acted, and we voted for it. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

They were supposed to be annual but toryvic seems to have disappeared now...

What about a thread, to make up a very short story (preferably 1 paragraph) or one sentence using the titles of Alan's flicks? Then you have to use the last title given in the sentence or short paragraph, to begin the next one in response.
Like; Giggin and her January Man went to Dark Harbor on An Awfully Big Adventure where she heard someone cry out, "Help! I'm a Fish!"

Like; Giggin and her January Man went to Dark Harbor on An Awfully Big Adventure where she heard someone cry out, " Help! I'm a Fish!" I love it ! ;D I think that is fabulous. Or how about this one. Take a conversation in a non Alan Rickman film and make it give it an Alan Rickman vocabulary in the dialogue instead, in Fun And Games. For example.Shrek(in Snape's robes): There is more to Slytherins that meet the eyeDonkey(with Harry glasses and scar): For example? Shrek: For example? Slytherins are like - onions!Donkey(sniffs onion): They stink?Shrek: No! Donkey: When you cut them they make you cry!Shrek: No! (chucks onion on ground and Donkey sniffs again)Donkey: Oh when you leave them out in the sun too long they go funny and start sprouting little white hairs!Shrek: No! Onions have layers. Slytherins have layers, onions have layers, you get it we both have layers! (he chucks another onion on ground and stalks off!)Donkey: Oh you both have layers. You know not everyone like onions! Cake! Cake has layers! everybody loves cake!Shrek: I don't care what everyone likes, Slytherins are not like cake, end of story see you later!Donkey: Parfait! Have you ever met anybody who said 'hey want some parfait!' 'no I don't want no parfait!'Shrek: Maybe there's a good reason why Gryffindors don't talk! You get the drift!

I have an idea, but I don't know if anyone would be interested or not...
It seems that many of us are currently reading the same book, thanks to the wonderful suggestions on the Non-HP Books thread. I thought it might be fun to have an ARAS Book Club, where we read a specific book (like in this case, Diana Gabaldon's Outlander) and discuss it (or whatever one does in Book Clubs besides meet and eat food; I've never been in one) in an ARAS Book Club Thread.
We could have a new book monthly, or whenever, depending on participation and members' free time.
Thoughts??

H'mm that is a good one, my mum has those Diana Gabaldan books, and she likes them but I am not sure about them, they came out when I had a similar idea of a modern girl going back in time, so I guess it's sour grapes.

Count me in as long as the book is available at the local library. I'm still trying to buy all of Alan's movies!

It would also be helpful in becoming more familiar with new authors/books suggested by other members of the "ARAS book club" ;D, to broaden my own book collection. This sounds like a lot of fun! !

I think the book club is a great idea. It would be great if it there could be read by deadlines.... eg. read chapter one by may10, and then discussion up till the next due date, etc. this means that the slower readers have chance to catch up before any plot spoiling details are revealed.
