Ok chatting with someone from the CoS forums - hope to drag her here nowish *cough cough*
Anyway we thought it might be an idea to set up a video evening.
Quite simply we choose a DVD of Alan Rickmans - say Robin Hood - and we all go to a chatroom and have the DVD playing in the background and discuss the movie as it goes along.
Basically like all going over to someones house to watch a movie
What do you think?
I can set up chatrooms not a prob...will just piggyback off #mugglenet so even those who dont have an IRC server can use the chat

Watch the movies in the background?! That's so cool! But I have a feeling people aren't going to be typing but watching. LOL.

It's a very interesting idea Occy...although I'm not sure how the time differences between our members would work out! It would make it quite difficult! There would certainly have to be very strategic planning indeed, for something like this !

Not a problem - most of us aussies are used to being on late at night or early in the morning because the internet is an american-centred thing so we can deal...
Would need to be early morning here/early evening US to make room for the UK people who seem to live on a different planet when it comes to timezones *g*

I cant decide which one either! yep, i'm here occy lol we'd have to do it on a weekend possibly, a saturday usa time, sunday for us? make sense? a simple search on yahoo time zones etc will figure out who's got what times.
I got S&S, hitch-hikers i can get my hands on the rest easily enough too. and alanfan1979, thats why we set a lot of time to see if everyone can get hold of a copy of the movie we settle on, so if you have to borrow, rent, steal, or borrow without permission, you have time ^_^

They were giving Galaxy Quest yesterday on TV. LOL. That's a very funny movie.
Well I suppose we just have to set the time.
