In my opinion, Emma has always been the stongest actor of the trio. They are all getting better in each film, but Emma is the one who seems the most natural with her acting abilities. Can't wait to see them in GoF!

I agree, Emma is the best of the trio, it is unfortunate that they have changed her character so much for marketing reasons, . I lookk forward to GoF as early reviews say Daniels skills are catching up. which is good. I don't thik I could handle another scene as forced as the " he killed my parents" scene in PoA. On the subject of " new Dumbledore" I think Gambon was a great choice. I love the energy that he brought to the role, I think it is unfortunate that they tried so hard to visually seperate him from his predecessor, as I did not enjoy his costuming at all.

I think Emma and Rupert are very good actors for their age. Daniel however is not as good as them (and i hate to say it!) he just hasn't got what they both have. Not all the time but sometimes you can tell that he is acting. Do you know what i mean?

It's just not good "acting" on his part. But it's still miles better than CoS. Miles. While I think that Emma is the best of the three, I'm becoming to resent movie Hermione. She's taking the best lines (Dumbledore's "fear in a name" line from CoS, and Ron's line in PoA), and taking Ron's share of the spotlight (so all Rupert has to do is put on his best "OMG!SOSCARED!" face for Ron)...

I am mostly ok with her line changes, its the stupid Rainbow belt! and putting her hair up for Lupin's class, and commenting on her own hair when they were in the pumpkin patch.I love the kids in muggle clothes. I don't see them in Uniforms all of the time, but the lowriding cords with the rainbow belt drove me nuts... cords yes...lowriders-NO. belt, yes...rainbow-NO Emma is a pretty young woman, I don't see why they can just dress her character, not market the actor.( the promo shots for the new movie have her dressed in skin tight clothing... sorry, but I see Hermione as a Comfy jeans girl, not tight pants)

Especially her line in the pumpkin patch. I was like, "What the...? Hermione isn't that concerned and vain about her hair!" But Emma is a good actor for her age. I see Hermione as a comfy jeans girl, too.

I totally agree! I really liked Rupert in the first movie, but he's been playing the same bits now for the last two movie - it's probably not his fault though. Emma really does a great job . . . and Daniel, well, let's just say that I watch that "He killed my parents" scene when I want a good laugh As for Gambon, I think he perfectly captures the other sides of DD that Harris didn't show. Harris' DD was serene, wise and kindly, but what was missing was DD's sense of humor, and his oddity, really. DD is a strange duck, and I think Gambon brings that to the role. Didn't like his gross nails though - what was up with that?! PS - Sorry for the long post!

However, he was missing Dumbledore's sense of humor and twinkle in his eye, which really, is my favorite aspect of Dumbledore. (and long posts are quite okay. I always enjoy reading well-thought out posts, no matter the length)

I agree with you all... I hope Daniel's acting is getting better, not that he's bad at it, but compared to Rupert (one of my fave) and Emma, he has still some work to do on it... Anyway, here is a link to an interview made at the Premiere of Azkaban... I only put the link where we have alan's interview. I guess you all already saw it but who knows... The "Sorry I can't hear you" is priceless and also the "You have to wonder why he always saves their lives... especially in this one" www.veritaserum.com/vtmmedia/videos/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=11PS : the download is quite long but really worth it!!!

Ooooh, thanks for posting that link, angelique! Hehe, happy you like it!!! ;D If you want to see the third part, Bonnie Wright is really nice, she is so shy compared to Emma Watson! I like Bonnie, hope she will stay in the next movie...

Hmmm...you make a good point there. And it's a bit hard to take Ron seriously when all he does is pull the shocked/scared face. I also agree that Hermione seems more like the 'comfy jeans girl'. Caring about her hair and clothes just isn't her.... Even though I think Richard Harris was a great actor, I prefer Michael Gambon as Dumbledore. He conveys Dumbledore's humor and energy better, in my opinion. Personally, one of my favorite Alan moments in the movie was the impatient look on his face right before using his wand to turn the pages of Ron's book, when Ron was turning the pages of his DADA book really slow, one by one. This is a bit random, but I've been confused about this for ages; you know that part where Harry takes the crystal ball back to the divination classroom, and right before Trelawney makes the prophecy, he sees that face in it and it says his name? Well, who in the world is that? Is it supposed to be Sirius, or something? I can never tell!

I think Harry's supposed to be seeing a vision of Sirius in the crystal ball as foreshadowing of their upcoming meeting. This is supposed to freak Harry (& us) out as he still thinks Sirius is a mass murderer.

I think that Emma is the best out of the trio also. I like Michael Gambon as Dumbledore, because he has a sense of humor that Richard Harris did not really have. The scene that is my favorite was when Snape taught DADA.
Sorry for the hurried post. My brother wants to see his teachers.

Maybe it would be if that actually happened, but it just seemed kind of dorky to me....
