My gosh, do you know how many times I've replayed that scene?
(too many times is the correct answer)

Too bad they cut out the part where he loses his temper when Sirius escapes. That would've been funny... And I found it funny when he finds Harry in the corridors with the map. Harry tells him that it's just a piece of old parchment, and he responses with "Oh really...? Open it!" LOL. Yeah, I might be crazy.

Nope, you're not crazy. If you're crazy, we all are. ;D I love every scene with Snape, not to mention every chapter in the books with Snape.

Where the hell did the marauders go thats all i say! I was so mad at that Cinema because of that and then adding that he sees Pettigrew on the map! I love the film really, it's definatly is my favourite. i was just disapointed in the whole marauder thing!
Snape Classics though turn to page 394! Protecting the trio is my fave though! It's the fact that he holds them tightly like he cares.

I saw PoA before I read the book, so I really didn't know what I was missing at first. Only after hearing complaints about how the movie left out important parts of the book, did I decide to finally read PoA. Now, I totally agree with them. Too bad they cut out the part where he loses his temper when Sirius escapes. That would've been funny... I was hoping that would in some extra features, just like the extend Potions scene in SS/PS. But alas... nothing

PoA is my favorite of the HP films so far (I'm hoping GoF will be better because it's my favorite book of the series so far!). The trio's acting improved more and the movie just seemed a little better than the others. I think it was adapted from the book to the movie better.
Wink I love your sig! That part in the movie certainly shows that that could be the foreshadowing that JK Rowling was talking about.

I have said this pleanty of times but i love the way he puts his arms around them tightly, he doesn't just stand in front of them he holds them as tightly as he can so that they would be hurt. If that is the actions of a DE then i am a Hippogriff!

I love PoA. It's my favorite thus far. I think Alfonso did an excellent job in retaining the "spirit" of the book (perhaps my biggest quibble is that the ending was "too happy", as things will only get darker from here).
And I can't say enough about the casting of the newer characters. While Lupin isn't *exactly* as I imagined him, I can't think of anyone better (same situation with Alan and Snape). I even like Michael Gambon as Dumbledore (he has that twinkle in his eye that I'd imagine for Dumbledore).
And it doesn't hurt that PoA is my favorite book...

PoA is my favourite book/film as wel and l agree that Lupin wasn't how i imagined him as well and at first i was disapointed but now i am happy with David's portray of Lupin but something tells me someone else could have played him better though now i wouldn't trade him at all. I think the ending was a bit rushed (in a manner of speaking) just didn't put things in because they couldn't afford any more time for the film I still picture Richard Harris as Dumbledore and i favour him over Micheal Gambon. He was my Dumbledore but alas rest in peace Richard Harris x

Aww, yes Winky, I miss Richard Harris' Dumbledore. Thats one thing that spoilt Azkaban for me was the yellow nailed, bling wearing wizard who ran up staircases! Not what I imagined at all!

I was initially the same regarding Lupin. I thought he would be a lot thinner, longer greyer hair, shabbier clothes, but he has grown on me now, and especially how adorable David Thewlis is helped sway me!

Same with me about Lupin. I imagined him more how Mary Grandpre drew him in the US Harry Potter books. I personally didn't like the fact that he has a mustache, but it doesn't really matter that much to me anymore. That always happens when books are made into movies. The characters and places you imagined when reading are most likely always going to be different than how you envisioned.

I'm in the middle of watching this movie again (well, in the middle meaning I saw bits of it last night, will watch some tonight, and will finish it who knows when). This is most certainly my favorite of the films. It just flows so much better than the other two.
And I just love how the magical world has this... dark and lived in feeling. Magic is no longer OMGWOWMAGIC! (which was necessary in the first film, IMO) Rather, it's just treated as an everyday thing, which it is in the magical world (and since Harry is in his third year, it should be to him as well).
As for Snape teaching DADA, there are no words. Alan is purely fantastic (then again, we all know that already)...

;DI love Micheal Gambons Dumbledore,he reminds me of the Earl of Longleat over here in the UK...But,I did love Richard Harris as well,he was a terrific actor... I love this film,I love the whole darkness of it,very much more adult in its way,and I also love the fact that for the 1st time in all 3 films,we got a hellva lot more Snape!!!Hurrah.... ???I still wonder about the change of the ending though,I mean, that was one hellva re-write,dont you think

I still would have preferred a darker ending, but, after watching the movie again (rather, finally finishing it), I don't mind the ending. There was no other place to include the Firebolt (well, there would be, but it would make the film very choppy), so I think the end was the right place. I still don't like the blurry finish.
I have to admit, the trio did one heck of a job in this film. They really held their own. Daniel was worlds better than he was in CoS...

You can definatly see the trio growing up in this film and i think Emma in particular has grown up alot in her looks and her acting skills. I just love this film and favour it from the others.
