They haven't released the theatrical trailer yet so that's probably why you didn't see it. I sure hope they'd hurry up! I want to see the long theatrical trailer with hopefully Patrick Doyle's music and a scene or two with Snape (since we still haven't seen one new pic of him yet!).

I really hope that the movie ends up being good! I have to admit that, after seeing pictures of Madame Maxime (definitely not how I imagined her!) and Moody's eye (by the way, I loved what you guys said about playing marbles with it! That would be so hilarious!), and there not being any Snape pictures, I'm a little wary of it. I'm sure it'll be good, though, even though it would be better if there was more Snape in it.

I wish I could go to one of the premieres, but I won't be able to because: 1. I live in Minnesota and... 2. I'm in school Ah well... Going to a premiere would be so much fun! MuggleMichelle, hopefully you can get tickets and then tell us all about it!

I have learnt from last year not to waste my money or resources trying to get tickets for the prem (my phone bill was ridiculous- I did try ringing just about every charity in the country, I am on sooooo many mailing list now ). I'll be entering every competition though- even if I have to pretend to be 9 I will however be representing the rickmanfans on the red carpet. My equally nutty friend is a graphic designer and she has a fabulous banner planned. She reckons she needs to make something spectacular seeing as Alan is a graphic designer too. We can't have some shoddy piece of workmanship if we want to attract Teh Man ;D

Do you think he will be there??? Looking forward to the report,as always.... I'm thinking he will be there. My theory is that he'll have finished filming Perfume, My Name is Rachel Corrie is at the Royal Court from Oct 11th til 29th, so its only 6 days later and its the HP premiere, surely he's not going to have dashed off around the world in that short space of time? I'm thinking of writing ('again' she adds bitterly) to his assistant to see if she can tell me if he will be there. I'm not very hopeful for a reply given my previous attempt, but recently I've heard from four people who've had replies to letters they sent. Life is so unfair...

My pride of joy is a letter I got from Spike Milligan, just before he died I sent him a letter saying how I loved the goons and his work,I got a real charming letter from him,not his personnal lady, but from him,he even signed it from the funny goon!!!I have that on my wall... Have you written to Alan yet, Ringo? I just wanted to share that I saw the GOF trailer prior to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Saturday. My friend thought I was having some kind of fit when I start jumping up and down in my chair when I heard the music and the silvery Warner Bros came on the screen! It was fab seeing it on a huge screen. I got a brief but good look at Snape in the background in the great hall when Dumbledore is giving his speech

Yep,wrote to Alans agent a few days ago, although I am not expecting much very soon.... I just wrote that I am a huge fan of his, love his acting, love his style, you know..blah,blah,blah...Oh,and that I am going to find him and marry him....(Not Really) Here's to getting a reply... As for the trailor, looks good does it not,but I am still so not happy with lack of Snape....Bah Humbug on Mike Newell if he has not put enough of him in the film, although I have heard that the dark mark is in the final cut.....

I'm only going by what you guys have said. If they have cut his scenes, that would be so WRONG. Especially if the cut out the Dark Mark scene. That is a MAJOR scene in the film. I for one would love to see Alan's interpretation of this particular scene. The other would be Snape and Sirius Black are made to "Shake hands" and GROW UP!! That would be great for us older fans to see. If most of the Snape scenes are cut from the movie, I wouldn't blame Alan for considering whether or not he really wants continue with the Harry Potter movies. Once again, I'm only going on what I have read on various web sites. So don't think I am starting rumours. He's a great Actor and well respected on the set. I do realize he probably didn't spend a lot of time in the studios filming the Snape roles. If the RUMOURS are true and most of his scenes are cut, I don't blame him for weighing out his options in regards to Snape. If these rumours are true, I don't blame him if he feels his time is wasted when he could be doing other projects.
It would be the same as you offered to work overtime at your job. You and some Co-Workers work really hard on a project. Your Supervisor presents the project during a Meeting. She then goes into explanation of how each of you contributed to the project. She spends 10 minutes glowing about your Co-Workers and only 2 minutes on you. Wouldn't you feel gypped in some way? If it was me, I would really question on whether or not I would help with further projects.

I've read over on Mugglenet and the CoS forums posts by those who saw advance previews. My summation of that is: Not much Alan, but some. Supposedly: the Dark Mark reveal IS there. Also a "funny scene" involving Snape. Other than that, there is not much Snape. Unless you are like me, and fully believe, until proved otherwise, that the "dance lesson" scene that is reported to be in there with Maggie Smith, involves Alan. (Yeah, I believed it so much I wrote a fanfic about it. Some people just can't see ol' Sevy dancing. Sure he will...with proper incentive. Read it & see! www.fanfiction.net/u/891600/I don't know which would be better for the "funny scene"--Snape blasting rosebushes after the Yule Ball or Snape in his nightshirt in the corridors...

I'm really hopeful about Goblet of Fire. It's such a massive book to try to condense down into a couple hours of film. Actually, there's a nice intense, very quick bit at the very end I'm looking forward to seeing (if it's in the film); with everybody in the hospital wing. Sirius has revealed himself and Dumbledore calls for at least a temporary cease-fire between Sirius and Severus and they have that moment or two and the instant-long slap of a handshake. It's a quickie, but I think it'd be a rather good character moment. And it would be posilutely stupendous to see Snape dance with McGonagle. A tango maybe? Heheh

Ooooohhhh Alan Rickman dancing !!! If they have that scene, I'd fall out of my seat. That would be priceless to see the expression on Snape's Face. It would be great to see the Dark Mark Scene too. I LOVE the Harry Potter movies and think they are great. Though I do watch the Snape scenes more often than the rest of the movie. Same with the Legolas scenes in LOTR
