I've also gotten confirmation that this confirmation may be put on hold. My mind could be playing tricks on me. (It's also late. Getting quite tired over here.)

As much as I would love to believe that site, it also states that Robbie Coltrane is playing Rubeus Hagrid, which we all know is very unlikely. And it also states that Miranda Richardson is playing Rita Skeeter, and that's less likely to happen than Coltrane playing Hagrid. However, I have good news: Mugglenet is reporting Gary Oldman is returning as Sirius Black. Yay!

Yeah, that's why I've said to hold off on further craziness until we figure out if half of the stuff there is true. (Or at least the majority.)

That's cool to hear. More people are being confirmed left and right. This movie is already sounding pretty good.

I think I'll wait until mugglenet posts it in the news thread ! I don't think they will give us bogus information ! That's when I'll believe that Alan has signed for sure !!!!

It seems that we all trust Mugglenet.com. LOL. And because of that, I'm here reporting the lastest casting news posted by Mugglenet: Amelia Bones: Sian Thomas will play the Head of the Magical Law Enforcement Office. She's appeared in several productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as roles in TV and film.
Dudley's gang: Piers Polkiss will be played by Jason Boyd, and Richard Macklin will play Malcolm.
Young Wormtail: The Peter Pettigrew Harry sees in Snape's Pensieve will be played by Charles Hughes.
Young Lily: We told you on Sunday that she would be played by Susie Shinner and this has now been confirmed. Check out a photo of the actress here.
Dawlish: Richard Leaf will play the Ministry Auror.
Nick Shim: He's set to play Zacharias Smith. Here's a pic of Richard Leaf: media.mugglenet.com/i/ootp/richard_leaf.jpgYou know, I'm glad to see all these characters casted because it means they won't be cutting off TOO many things from the book. ;D

Parvati and Padma Patil have been confirmed. (Guess where I got that piece of news. LOL) Mugglenet had also confirmed that John Cleese was returning as Nearly Headless Nick, but in an update they stated: "Order of the Phoenix has now been removed from Cleese's filmography which would indicate he will not return for the film. We'll keep you up-to-date on any developments."Notice how Alan Rickman has not been confirmed by Mugglenet!! My hope is that they're keeping the juicy confirmations to the end.

Good hope. But my fear is that it's a monetary/interest-level negotiation. Although OotP has much more to interest Alan as an actor, if they aren't willing to pay him what he's worth, then who knows if he will walk?
