So according to IMDb, the 6th installment of the Harry Potter movies has only 4 people cast so far: Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Tom Felton. The movie is set to be release in November 2008 and to begin filming this September. So with filming starting soon, who do you guys think will be cast in the new roles?

Mugglenet had a list of new cast, but it turned out to be just rumors.
I haven't read the book in a while, so I can't think what parts need to be cast except for Fenrir Greyback and the Carrows.
Who are you thinking about?

OH MY! The actual name of the beautiful village in the post above, which I posted, has been censored! Go check the IMDb site, wonder if this will work; L-a-c-o-c-k yes that works. Must go tell my friend who lives there 'she' has been 'censored' Makes me think of that phrase.....'You know who.....' well we now have 'You know where.......must never be named!' Sorry this really has amused me. Roxanna

My friend visited that area's abbey where they have filmed the courtyard of Hogwarts, which used to be filmed at Durham Cathedral which is not far from me.

Recent shots of the Abbey at L-a-c-o-c-k which was used for the first two movies. I have lots of pics of the village too as I live so near to it, some of previous filming that has been done there a few months ago. We are all hoping Mr Rickman will be required for the shoot. I lived in the North Of England for many years and know Durham well, I do miss the coast, so beautiful. Roxanna

OOOh!! How exciting!! It will be interesting to see how this movie actually comes out. Put Clive Swift in a fat suit...that's Horace Slughorn right there!

It'd be cool to live were movies could be filmed. Closest were anything could be filmed is Detroit.

I'm not looking forward to seeing Alan killed again, especially so horribly, but I think I'm getting used to him dying in movies. And according to Mugglenet, Jim Broadbent has been confirmed as Horace Slughorn. He's finishing up the latest Indiana Jones installment and then will begin filming on HBP. I'm going to IMDB to check him out.

Yey Jim Broadbent is a great choice for Slughorn, the casting director is a star for coming up with that! As soon as a I read that name I can picture him in the part (so now I'll see him when I read the book which is the slight downside)
Sheena also said that once Alan returns from Europe he will begin filming HBP so perhaps that's the same time as Jim and others then.

He seems like a great choice!! So far, casting has been spectacular in this series!! *ahem* No favoritism, of course (Clive Swift played "Richard" in "Keeping up Appearances)

Just read that dark horizons interview, thanks for that link desraelda. Sounds like a long time for him to filming until May next year, can't recall Sluggy being in that much. I always think of Jim as Bridget Jones' Dad
