We've had quite a few new visitors lately (*waves*), and it's always good to refresh the rules...
Welcome to the Alan Rickman Appreciation Society. Look around, grab a chocolate Hans, and have fun.
Keep in mind, there *are* rules here. I have three main rules:
1. Be Kind
2. Be Safe
3. Be Neat
Infractions on these rules will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
Now that we have that business out of the way, go out and have fun!
Welcome to the Alan Rickman Appreciation Society. Look around, grab a chocolate Hans, and have fun.
Keep in mind, there *are* rules here. I have three main rules:
1. Be Kind
- Treat others with respect. Differences in opinion are cool, attacks and threats on others are not.
- Remember proper "netiquette". TYPING IN ALL CAPS ALL THE TIME IS LIKE YELLING! and never using capital letters is like whispering. Let's use indoor voices here.
- From what I gather, Alan likes to keep his private life private. So please, respect his wishes.
2. Be Safe
- While there are many great people here, remember, there are some not-so great people out on the Internet. Please be on the safe side and don't post personal information willy-nilly.
3. Be Neat
- Signatures are allowed. Please try keep you sigs on the small side. If you're going to include a graphic, please make sure it is no larger than 300 by 300 pixels. If you are going to include text, please make it no larger than 7 lines. Remember, we're here to read the posts.
- Please do not double post. If you have something to add, just edit your post. (the only exception being if more than 24 hours has passed)
- Please make an effort to spell correctly. I'm not asking you to be Spelling Bee Champ 2006 (as I am not a great speller myself, and I'm a native English-speaker), but I am asking you to spell out simple words like "you", "are", "for", etc. It makes the board look prettier and it keeps my blood pressure low.
- Before starting a thread, please check to make sure there are no other threads dealing with the topic you wish to talk about. I, and other members, have created very general topics that can cover lots of areas. If you don't see what you're looking for, just ask (see the thread in the "Help Desk" section). I do have the power to restrict who can and can't start threads, don't make me use it. So please, think before posting.
Infractions on these rules will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
