I live 35 minutes from the Quad Cities (as in Iowa). Nothing much happens around here. I'm the ONLY Alan fan for miles and miles and miles. The closest metro area (QC) is still small by US metropolitan standards, but is starting to attract the artsy types, so maybe there is still hope to get a *clears throat" decent play up here.
The thing that makes my town unique is that we have the "Oldest Continuosly run Soda-Shoppe" in the country! Brooke Shields visited, as did Gregory Peck (oh my! Thelma almost had a heart attack!) That's our claim to fame. There's a British guy who married my friend's mom; I have yet to ask him to say "Clearly, fame isn't everything" ;D
*sighs* Travelling is just out of the question for me...raising children is expensive! I'll just have send telepathic messages to get Alan to come here lol

I'm from Minnesota. Been all over the US, visited Canada and the only two place I have been to overseas are Saudi Arabia and Kuwait (Operation Desert Storm), not really touristy. I would like to see England (all of it, I would love to see the country and London of course), Ireland, Italy, and Greece.

I live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in the States...I'm getting ready to move soon to Boone, NC and I'm really nervous about it. I hope I don't lose touch with all of my friends. At least I will have you guys lol

Northern California here! San Jose to be precise, about 25 min. from Santa Cruz and about an hour from San Francisco. I went for a drive in the Santa Cruz mountains today and it actually SNOWED around 1000 ft. it's rare when we get snow so close. img253.imageshack.us/img253/3913/pict0863io8.jpg

Surprised that I haven't been to this end of the forum yet. Been on the site since August and just checking in. Had to after reading your post. Signing on from little ole Delaware, located on the east coast approximately 3 hours south of New York City. I have family in California though. They live in Jackson and Lodi California. Ny niece use to live in Santa Cruz for awhile always loved it there! Best times were when my brothers would run us into San Francisco. Itching to go back. Last trip was spent in the LA area. Looking forward to going back especially after seeing the trailer from Bottle Shock and seeing Sonoma. Hopefully will get to visit this year!

Another Brit here. I recently moved to Derby I really like it there but I'm not there at the moment. I won't say where as I hate it but it's 30 miles above London
