Guess I'm the first to review this movie. Not enough Alan, of course, but he makes his presence felt all the same.
As for the movie itself, I loved the folk music. It's ironic that folk music is used to promote a conservative candidate for senator (Bob Roberts), when it was used as a vehicle to protest the same kind of politics in the sixties. I'll make no other political comment because first, it's not appropriate and second, I feel the movie was more about politicians than politics. 'Nuff said.
Alan was looking delectable in tinted glasses. His American accent was pretty good, but trailed off into a sort of southern drawl. He kind of drawls his words anyway.
It's not a movie I would want to watch over and over (not enough Alan for one thing), but I'll pull it out every once in a while for the music at least.

WORST MOVIE EVER! (not Alan's fault) I thought it was poorly written, and very cliche. Though, Tim Robbins wrote all the lyrics to the songs sung, and I'll admit they were very comedic. Alan's screentime was short, but it was no surprise that he made it sparkle!! I'll probably never watch it again, and now I borrow movies from the library before I buy them, just in case ;D lol

This was an okay movie, not my fave, but because Alan is in it, I just had to own the DVD. That part where he says "Excuse me, I have to go pray", I noticed something... on his neck is a reddish/purplish mark, kind of like a love bite. Anyone else notice this or am I just crazy?
