I loved Alan and Emma and wasn't really that put off by their accents. I think the movie could have been a lot better, it's one of those that I think had a lot of promise. By the way, the girl is the mother in the Spy Kids movies if you've seen those. She was also "The One" with Jet Li.

It was really bugging me, not knowing where I remembered her from! The same thing happened to me not too long ago, when I was watching 'Blow Dry'. The woman who plays 'Shelly' (Natasha Richardson) looked soooo familiar - but I couldn't remember where I'd seen her. Then, the other night I was watching an old Sherlock Holmes episode (with Jeremy Brett) and there she was! I was so relieved. ;D The silliest things annoy me so . . .

It annoys me when I can't place where I've seen an actor before too! Fortunately my husband has a talent for this!!!

The accents in Judas Kiss are supposed to be from Southern Louisiana. The accents were too thick and sounded forced, but I loved the scened with the golf club.

Hey Billywiggy, which Sherlock Holmes episode was it? 'The Copper Beeches' - the one where she's a governess with beautiful red hair and is asked to cut it all off before they'll offer her the job - so she asks Holmes for advice. Do you like the Jeremy Brett Holmes series as well?

I need your help:
I could see Judas kiss only in the German version, so would someone so kind, to write on the conversation, that Hawkins and Friedman had, when they met the first time?
It was a wonderfull conversation in the synchronisation, but I would like to know the original text.
Can you help me?
I must say, in this movie, Alan Rickman has got, for the first time, a good German voice. It is terrible, that the German televison never brings the original versions :-( Rickman's voice is simply great :-)

Here it is: H: "So, fill me in" F: "That remark can be misconstrued as sexual harassment, Agent Hawkins" H: "Let's get it out of the way then. You've never worked with a female superior before and I got to where I am by pushing paper and playing nice. I've never actually fired a gun before, I'm only in this job to prove to my father I'm not a coward. I give decent head, so I got promoted before other worthy candidates, all of them men, all of them equally gifted at fellatio, but there was a gender quota to fill. I'm also stupid and idealistic, you are hard and cynical and usually right. I'm secretly in love with you, but I have a hard time showing it. Did I skip anything?" F: "You're a better driver than me, and I'm too proud to admit it." H: "You're right" *wipes brow* whew! I'm sorry you only get the dubbed version - although Alan has a horrible Louisiana accent in this one - so you're not missing too much. I will cry if you tell me you've never heard his real voice in 'Sense & Sensibility' though! And Welcome! ;D

Hello Billywiggy, thank you so much for it - I hope, I can also have the rest by someone Oh, I have bought the DVD of S&S, there is also the original version on it - that is the reason, why I am so - upps -- "frustriert" - sorry, don't know the English term - that I can never hear his voice in our cinemas or in television. Once heard his voice - and I was lost ... :-)) Unfortunately I have not the money to buy all videos or DVDs - I would be crazy enough, to do it *shame* :-) I hope, I have not written too much mistakes, but I think, you all here can understand, what I am writing :-) Gela PS: The German synchonisation has changed the sense of the first sentences - I hate incorrect synchronisation :-( ....

You did fine gela. The word is upset. Don't worry too much about spelling mistakes - we do it here all the time at ARAS, so we feel as if we have invented a new language - we call it Alanian (in honor of Alan) So welcome and have fun!

What is this film actually all about?
I read a book called the Judas Kiss and it was about paedophelia. It had a girl character who was murdered in it and she was called Sadie and the reason why she was murdered was because a sick guy had developed feelings for her best friend and used her as bait. Is it that or a completely different story, I only read it once years ago.
I might be wrong but please inform and quick!

hermoine13snape,
Judas kiss is about Coco and Junior who come up with a scheme to kidnap a wealthy computer mogul and they are thrust into big-time crime when the wife of a powerful senator gets in the way and is killed in the process. Unbeknownst to everyone, the senator's wife is the computer mogul's lover. Det. David Friedman (played by Alan) and FBI agent Sadie Hawkins (of all of the lame names to give a character - played by Emma Thompson) are hot on the trail of the criminals as Friedman uncovers a deadly conspiracy of murder involving the senator.

Hello Billywiggy, thank you so much for it - I hope, I can also have the rest by someone You're welcome . . . and you want more? Do you mean the rest of the movie - or the rest of the conversation? I'll give you more - up to where Friedman gets in the car and drives away, how's that? H: "So, you keep me updated on everything, and you have my permission to assist us as much you like." F: "Very thoughtful of you." H: "Anything turn up with the rent-a-cop?" F: "I'm on my way to the hospital right now." H: "How about the woman upstairs?" F: "Name's MaryEllen Floyd, she used to play tennis with the Senator's wife; I have an appointment with her in an hour." H: "You coming to the Senator's?" F: "You inviting me?" H: "You bet. Like to be on top?" F: "Half the time." H: "Want to have sex later?" F: "Sure, I'll check with my ex-wife" H: "I'll check with my ex-husband" F: " 'It was too bad about Joyce Lakeland. If only she hadn't loved it when I beat her, the whole trouble wouldn't have started.'" H: "Well my! You really know your Jim Thompson - that's pretty impressive for a detective." F: "I'm filled with contraditions, Agent Hawkins. You'll see!" Oh - und das Wort 'frustriert' ist sehr ähnlich auf English: 'frustrated'

Oh yeah! ;D at the end, I'm glad to say with all my happiness that I have seen "Judas Kiss"! Today I have been going to buy fabrics for a theatre work in a cheap shop (I don't know exactly as you call this kind of shops in English , but they are these shops which all things use to cost almost 1 Euro) While a friend was looking for the fabrics I and another friend we were looking at the VHS that were in offer, you cannot imagine which has been my surprise when I saw "Judas Kiss" at the corner costing 0,75 € but...0,75 € ??!!!! Alan is much more important than 75 cents! at the end ... the important thing is already I have the movie I liked the sarcasm of Alan and Emma during the film
