OK, just watched this one again today . . . and I noticed one more thing. On the first morning, when the boy makes coffee for David and his wife, he asks the wife how she likes it, but then just hands David the coffee and one sweet 'n' low packet. He knows how he likes his coffee already!! How did I not see that the first time around? I love little clues like that which you can pick up on. LOL! I didn't even notice that! Must watch again . . .

I love watching it over and over, and over *snaps out of it* (oh sorry) to watch for each little deal...I keep finding new ones everytime I watch...I think it is because I have skipped some of those parts too many times LOL...and finally decided to actually watch the whole thing from begining to end again without the remote control around...I had to hide it from myself ! I just realized that every eye contact and every subtle movement in the film is VERY important. There are actually hints the entire movie. *Scans post to make sure I'm not giving anything away*....ummm okay nope...I'm not ;D!

next saturday night - really at night - 1.50 at our time - this movie will come for the first time in television here. - I have read your postings and... I can't await it ;D - Is he a good one? A bad one? Will he survive? I don't like movies without happyend, or better: I really hate them - so - is there a happyend? If not, then please warn me...

I really shouldn't give away any spoilers, but since you want to know - Alan does not exactly play the good guy in this film. This film is what I guess could be called a suspense film of sorts. No Gela, the ending is not a happy one - as a matter of fact the ending is not fullfilling at all, but Alan does a nude scene. . .(fans self). I hope I gave you the information you wanted... ;D

R.L. - thank you very much for the info I have heard of the nude scene - but it can't be an interesting one (as he is Metatron ... ;D) .... "not a good guy" sounds not very well - ... but to bring it to the point (I am shure, that is only the German expression, I don't know, how to say in English): No chance, that I would not to see this movie ... I will "prepare" my own happyend in my head while watching AR .... And I hardly can't await it...

so, now I have seen this movie - and please don't throw tomatoes but: If I were not a Rickman-fan, I would not see this movie twice. The actors have done well, no question, and I liked them all three, but the story was not "round" - as if the author could not decide: do I want to make a thriller, or do I want to show a simple drama of a married couple, that ends in a crime. The movie, that the German television has shown, had only 80 min. - so it is possible, that they have cut some scenes, that could have made the plot more clearly, as the original length is 96 min. I really would like to know, what happend in these missing 17 min. I hate it, if a country thinks, that it must cut a movie, why ever - and so falsify in parts or completely the work or sense But for me as fan: I will watch it again - and again - AR was really good.. (and very sexy... )

Gela, I got my copy of Dark Harbor from Ebay if that helps. I think the copy I got was less than 20 dollars, maybe.

I watched this flick a few nights ago and finally figured out how they got a suicide note in her handwriting. D'oh! If Alan weren't so darned good looking I might have noticed that in the first place!
So, I just finished watching it again to see if I could pick up on some more that I might have missed. In the kitchen, when Alexis is wearing the red dress and she is talking on the phone, look at the floor near her feet. You can see her orange color-coded mark that shows where she is supposed to stand for that scene. In the next telephone scene, also in the kitchen, David is talking on the phone. Look at the floor near his feet, the color-coded mark is absent.

Oooh, I definitely want to see this movie.
I have to say, seeing Alan kiss a man would be a plus for me.

I bought this from ebay about 6 months ago. I didn't like it very much...but I must say...you all have piqued my interest in it again! I might just rewatch it now (and try not to gag lol), and look for the subtlies (sp?) in it.
Oh, and the hubby's got me Die Hard FINALLY! He's bringing it home as I type! *squeels and jumps up and down clapping hands*

Bleh! Just rewatched DH a little while ago. I stopped the dvd right before she eats that mushroom. For some reason, I just can't bring myself to watch it happen all over again Alan's character reminds me of someone I know...I won't name names, but he's moody, grumpy and whiny a lot of the time lol. I just hope he doesn't try to off his old lady for another dude. Bleck!

I liked this film, it took me a couple of times of watching it to get the clues... sometimes you can miss something the first time around. Alan is a great diver, such form.
