Hi there I just stumbled across this board whilst trawling for Alan Rickman news so thought I'd join ;D

So just joined this morning...was going to try to read all of the posts before I replied. But I gave up by page 2. I'm slightly disappointed in myself. Uh...my user name on here is ncbookworm, I use Amelia as my internet nickname, my real name is so unusual that if you put in Google my blog pops up as result. It's not you all that I am worried about, it's all those other people out there. If that makes sense. I am a 20 year old college student in North Carolina, USA. I am however, originally from Kentucky. I think I first officially became aware of Mr. Rickman around 2001 when the first HP movie came out, there was some ads that had him saying "Mr.Potter" It has just been stamped in my memory, I remember quite liking the voice wondering who was that actor. Funny, when I looked him up and found he was in Galaxy Quest, my dad, brother and I are all big sci-fi fans...I remember us going to watch that together, but for some reason didn't connect things until much later. Anything else to know about me...uh I do love reading quite a bit, I prefer classical literature. I enjoy cooking just for the fun of it. I am fluent in American Sign Language and hope to learn other sign language systems. You want to know anything...feel free to ask, I will try to be as honest as possible. |

Hi everyone, I'm Altair, I'm 15 and I'm from Italy. Actually, my real name is Lorenza, but I really hate it so I'm gonna use my stage name.
I love Alan since Sweeney Todd, when I first heard his real voice (our dubbers are awful, you can’t even understand if an actor is good or not, because their voices are terribly flat, they don’t put emotion in it). So I had to buy his DVDs and watch them in English, and I was simply amazed by his talent! He’s just a genius!
Now I’ve seen most of his movies, and I loved them all.
What can I say about me?
I love acting and music, I knew I wanted to sing since I was a 4-year-old child, and now I love musicals and I really wish to become an actress in London. Hopefully, I’ll move there next September, so I can improve my language and study Music and Drama.
I also like to write fanfictions (mostly about Snape xD), to read (Wilde, Rowling, Les Poetes Maudits) and to apply every kind of make-up and to try new hairdos.
I'm so sorry for my bad English!

Hey, I'm Court!
I have probably 80% of Alan Rickman's movies and have seen most of them and my most recent insane idea is going to the play he is directing in NY in April. Wow! I've bought the tickets and I'm ready to go. On a side note, I'm traveling all the way from the West Coast, lol. Call me crazy. Anyways. My favorite movie is Love Actually and I most recently watched Nobel Son. That threw me for a loop seeing him portray a character like that.
