Hello everyone! I think we should all introduce ourselves here.
Either way, hello! I just now joined the ARAS. I came across this on the Mugglenet boards. I figured it would be fun to join. ^_^
Well, talk to you all soon and happy posting!

Hello, I'm Slythy... (I feel like I'm introducing myself at some sort of AR-Anonymous meeting here ). In the real world I'm Fran, I'm 16 years old and on my summer holidays at the moment. Other favourite things aside from AR and HP: acting, reading (anything from Jane Austen to Terry Pratchett really) and writing, Doctor Who (love love LOVE the new series), sport (watching rather than actually doing, I'll admit), at the moment I'm obsessed with cricket in general and Steve Harmison in particular, films (I spend most of my money going to the cinema with friends and buying DVDs)... other favourite actors are Colin Firth (insert something along the lines of 'ooh, Mr. Darcy' here), Gerard Butler (the Phaaaaaantom of the Op-er-a is heeeere) and Johnny Depp ('nuff said). I have some amazing friends who don't mind me talking about Mr. Rickman and my other various obsessions 24/7, so I count myself very lucky there At the moment I'm not really sure what I want to do career-wise. Something cool. Like playing opposite Rickman/Firth/Butler/Depp in a box office smash, for example...

I'm EmmyMik, and I've been a Rickmaniac for...
Oh, wait.
Anyway, I'm Emily. I live in Ohio and I recently graduated from college. The whole "find a real job" thing isn't qutie working out, so I'm doing the whole soul-searching thing as I prepare to become a substitute teacher.
My other obsess... I mean, passions include: The Muppets, the Olympics, swimming (yeah, swimming is *part* of the Olympics, but whatever. Plus I heart the swimmers), wasting time, and updating my LiveJournal (I love to ramble and it's a good outlet for me).

Hi, everybody... I'm Angie. I love watching movies and reading, and the theatre. I live in Iowa out in the country with some relatives and 17 horses, mini donkeys and ponies, 3 pygmy goats, 4 dogs, 1 cat, a flock of chickens, and my bunny, Binx. Like everybody else here, I ADORE Alan Rickman - he's brilliant. I'm an (at the moment) amateur actress, but during the day, I'm a medical transcriptionist. Our Hero is an inspiration to me as an actor, a lot to learn from and one of my dearest hopes is to work closely with him (dreaming, dreaming). I also play (acoustic) guitar. I Love The Muppets!! The Princess Bride is my favorite move of ALL TIME, and I've been a little obsessed with the Original Star Trek series. And Alan Rickman. In my past, I've wanted to be a writer, singer, actor, vet, and archeologist (in no particular order. The vet phase didn't last long, but I still want to be the others); and I'd love to travel.
It's nice to meet all of you!

Hey, I'm Stephanie, or just Steph for short. I will be starting high school very soon, so right now I am torn between excitement and dread. But school will also mean an end to a long, quiet summer, and I love it. I live in California, and although I am dead scared of surfing (or as I like to call it, 'drowning'), I say the word Dude a lot. ;D I have two lists, one titled Favorite Non-Alan Rickman actors and the other Favorite Non-Alan Rickman movies. The Non-AR fandoms include: Clive Owen, Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Bill Nighy, [notice any patterns so far? ], The Phantom of the Opera, About A Boy, Bridget Jones, Jesus Christ Superstar, Josh Groban, Law&Order, and the original Office.

Hello all, my name is Angélique (but usually people call me Angel, mostly the non-french speaking people ...) and I'm from Belgium, land of French fries, chocolate and beers... I'm 25, work in a bank (at least till next february, after that still don't know) and I follow evening classes in the field of Marketing (after work, from Monday to Tuesday, from 6pm to 9:30 pm, quite busy as you see) I'm a Rickmaniac (lol) for ... huh, quite some time now, but haven't seen all his movie (some of them are difficult to find in Belgium or are not in original version...and what is the point of watching a movie with Alan if you don't hear his voice??? ) I like lots of other actors, mostly British, dunno why... like Ralph Fiennes, Gabreil Byrne, Paul Bettany, Kenneth Branagh, ... and some actesses like Emma Thompson... Otherwise, I like to spend my free time surfing the web, watching movies, writing stories (I've just started an Amazons story this month...), reading, drawing, spending time with the man of my life (nice hobby) called Bruno, playing with my cat called Ron ;D and I also help a friend save horses from the slaughterhouse... (Well, she does the most important part, I just halp like I can... no money, no lawn so...) So as you see, I'm quite busy, but i like to find some times to talk about Alan... Sorry for the length of the post Angel

playing with my cat called Ron ;D Hi ya, Angel! So . . . is your cat named after the Harry Potter character or something else? Inquiring minds want to know Well... it's a funny story actually. Last year, I had just moved into my boyfriend's appartment when a friend asked us if we would like a cat. I'm more of a dog lover but hey, a dog in an appartment without garden would not be ok I thought, so let's go for a cat. We went to fetch it and the owner said it was a female. It was two months and very afraid of us, but so cute... We decided to call it Hermione. A week after that, my friend went to the vet with it, and big surprise, Hermione was in fact a male... ;D So, we decided for Ron (quite logical, isn't it) I'm very sorry for all the spelling mistakes, but not being a native speaker...

And never apologize for your language skills - your English is amazing, and since my French is horrifying to say the least - you have my utmost respect!

Well, Actually, I always call him Ronounnet or chaton (means kitten). I call him RON when he does something bad, quite often actually... He enjoys sleeping on clothes I just washed and ironed... Grrrrr ;D As for my language, I learned English at school and University... But the most useful things I learned thanks to the web and watching the movies in OV... Helps a lot!!!
