Hi everyone! I'm Awiana (on CoS forums too) and I'm a Rickmaniac. I'm 21, and I have to admit that I haven't been a Rickmaniac for that long, so I haven't seen that many Alan movies yet, but of course I intend to. Apart from Alan I like Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson and Hayden Christensen (although obviously not nearly as much as Alan). I'm a huge HP fan, but I love Star Wars too. I like drawing and spending too much time online, and generally just doing everything except what I should be doing, like studying. I guess that's all I can think of now.... oh, except, did I mention that I adore Alan?

I'm amirab. I can't say may real name, but some of my friends call me Mandy, or Amber. I live in Michigan by Detroit. I think about a half hour away from it. I love to watch the Detroit Tigers by baseball. I always wanted to travel, but I can't now. I'm in high school which starts on Thursday. I have a 4.0 Grade Point Average. I love to listen to the radio, mostly rock and/or alternative. Other than reading HP, or watching an Alan movie I: do nothing, go on the GameCube or spend as much time on the computer. And I have an 18 or 19 year old blind cat named Sunny.

Where would you like to go and live in Europe (cause, well, there lots of different countries with different ways of living... ) Well, I hope to see a lot of different areas, but I think ultimately I'd like to live in England or Scotland. Possibly Italy. I want to go to the Czech Republic, because my family is Czech, but I don't really know enough about life there to tell if I'd enjoy living there or not.

Hi all! I'm Cissy. On the CoS forums, I'm MoonysAngel.
I'm a pharmacist, and I live in Alabama. After working on a computer all day, I like to come home and hang out on the internet (weird...more computering. You'd think I'd be sick of them) I adore Alan (obviously), and am working on seeing more of his wonderful work.
In my spare time, I read, watch Alan movies, read, collect Snoopy stuff, read, crochet/knit/cross-stitch/sew, read, and write HP fanfic, mostly published in the CoS forums "Snape's POV-HBP" thread, (including my favorite one, "Dance Lessons" which deals with certain people having to show others the basics of dance before the Yule Ball (please read!)). Did I mention I like reading? And Alan?

It just occurred to me that I hadn't done the "hello i'm.." thing on here yet! Disgraceful! So, well greetings! I'm Michelle, I'm 21 and *standing up* I love Alan Rickman! I live near Newcastle, in England (waves to howler and Winky who are nearby geographically! ;D). I work in a court, paper shuffling and getting my head around legal technical jargon, which I find immensely fun Not the career I had in mind but I enjoy it. My 'little' hobby, namely my website (points to scrolling linky below ), kind of exploded into a fully fledged time-guzzling obsession 16 months ago and I love it! My other hobbies are reading, watching movies (the joys of Sky tv- endless films!), theatre and shopping (for Alan movies, of course). My other stud muffin males other then Alan are Kevin Spacey, Patrick Stewart and Kiefer Sutherland. I've got a sudden liking of Dustin Hoffman right now (on a purely acting level- the guy's ancient!) so I'm slowly discovering his work if anyone has any tips? Anyway, that's all about me! *bows*

Hi fellow Rickmaniacs! ;D It's good to be here in such a lovely place. My real name is Julie, but I thought I'd choose one of my pet's names here. I also am from the North of England, near Newcastle. I love Alan, he is a superb actor and he's gorgeous too. I have been a fan of his for many years, and long shall it continue. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Why thank you, billywiggy. What are karma points? It's just like a little game, really. No point to it or anything (no pun intended ;D). If you like what someone says or posts, you can 'exhalt' them. If you don't, you can 'smite' them.

Hello everyone, I am a Music Educator whose goal is to make sure every child has a Harry Potter Music Education. I am an Alan Rickman Fan who adores the man, well, probably as much as each of you. I use to think I was the only one like this until I found the CoS forums, and now this forum . I can't believe it! Anyway. I really can believe it, because he is such an amazing actor.

Hello I am Hermione Snape on the CoS forums.
My real name is Lizzie and have been a Rickmaniac since I was 11 years old when I went to see him at the Cinema as the Sheriff of Nottingham, which is my favourite film of all time!
My interests are Alan Rickman, Harry Potter books, my two favourite characters are in my username, I come from the South of England (soon to be living in Wales!) but my dad's side of the family is Northern. I also am crazy about the Muppets, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Chronicles of Narnia, also the unadapted as yet Belgariad series by David Eddings.
My other favourite men are Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Sean Connery, Christopher Lee, and Hugh Jackman (Van Helsing, *sigh*) and Johnny Depp, my fave Actresses are Julie Walters, Brenda Blethyn, Maggie Smith, and Judi Dench and Keira Knightley.
I am not into American films quite so much, I prefer the small English films, (I love Richard Curtis and I absolutely adore Bend It Like Beckham!)
I love reading classics like Jane Austen, (Emma is my favourite), and Charles Dickens, the part in a play I'd love to act is Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, and my favourite colour is Purple.
I have a gorgeous handsome Tabby cat called Spicey who acts like a star at times and has the air of Jason Isaacs. (Oh yeah I forgot about him he's great too!) And a completely dippy but absolutely adorable doggy called Monty, who is a little bit of a Colin Firth at times, (forgot about him to. Let's just say I like most men in England not that I'm a man eater!)
Alan is my fave and no other!

Whoopsie, introduced myself in the wrong place a couple of days ago. Glad you are so forgiving of this... Obviously I'm a Rickman fan like you all but only recently have I gotten into actively seeking out DVDs of his other performances (I have HP and GalaxyQuest already but I hadn't gotten those specifically because Alan was in them). I'll hazard a guess that I'm one of the oldest Rickman fans on here. LOL! But you never get too old to appreciate a handsome face or a velvety voice, right? Uh, hobbies are reading anything and everything. I do write fanfic but not HP stuff and I'm not a prolific writer either. Love to travel when I get the chance. Am a Trivial Pursuit addict (as well as other games). Aside from Alan, I have always enjoyed watching "character actors" who brought humor to whatever series they were on (David Ogden Stiers from M*A*S*H, Michael Gross and Dean Norris from Tremors the movie/series, David Hewlett from Stargate Atlantis, Jonathan Harris from Lost In Space, Oliver Platt who plays wonderfully quirky characters in movies, and a few others you probably wouldn't recognize. I guess I've followed the careers of about 10 actors over the years and several of those are no longer acting and have moved onto other things as they've grown older. I have too many hobbies and interests for my own good. In other words, I could retire tomorrow (if I didn't need the cash and medical insurance) and never be bored. I've got 2 girls, (13 and 16), who keep me hopping, and generally tolerate my 'obsessions' unless they want to indulge in their own obsessions when mine are coming on TV. And I'll give you one guess who wins (though they make me deaf from all the yelling and screaming for a week after the battle has been won). ;D My younger daughter is my drama queen and has done several Shakespeare plays (12th Night is the current one and she is in the midst of memorizing all those lines in the original Shakespearean english). My older daughter is thinking Engineering (okay, I'll brag a bit...she gets straight As in maths and sciences).

Welcome Ladynra! *waves profusely* Thank you for the lovely descripition all about you and your family! The best thing about the net is that if you hadn't told us you thought you were an older Rickman fan, we would never have know your age, we're all the same- crazy Rickmanics! ;D I am also a fan of David Hewlett if Stargate Atlantis, Rodney is a fabulous character!

New member here. Nice to meet you all. My name's Mandy, and I kind of fell upon here after reading a healthy discussion over at the CoS forums (in which I contributed a post). I'm 18 and unemployed (but looking for a job since I graduated high school back in June). My hometown is a small town tucked in the state of Connecticut (USA), where I live with my mother, my 14-year-old brother, and my mom's parents. I have a MySpace ( click here to visit it), so if you'd like to check it out and join in, then by all means, please do so.
