Here you can talk about Harry Potter and the Philosophers/Sorcerors Stone, the 1st installment in the Harry Potter series.

Good idea!
I'm currently re-reading the series, and I'm somewhere in the middle of this book.
SS has never been a favorite mine. But, for some reason, I'm really enjoying it now...

I'm about to re-read the series, too. I feel like being immersed in the days when Harry was more carefree and had a little less to worry about.
Hmm...plus aren't there more scenes with Snape in it? I think it has more chapters that include the potions class.
SS isn't my favorite either (GoF is) but I'm excited to re-read it again.

SS isn't my fav. either, but I actually like the movie a lot.
I wish I could re-read it. My sister is the one who owns the books and I'm starting school on Monday so I won't have time to read books on my own. I'll be quite busy reading the ton of books my AP English teacher will be giving us. Oh what joy! *rolls eyes*

You start school on Monday? eek! I start on September 1st and I thought that was too soon! When does your school let out? We get out for the summer on June 2nd.

I re-read the book and I found a few interesting things:
On page 139 (American hardback) Snape accuses Harry of purposefully not helping Neville with his potion. Do you think there's a deeper meaning? Like someone (*cough*James*cough*) did just that to Snape when he was in school?
Then on page 295, it said "...he could only hear Quirrell's terrible shrieks and Voldemort's yells of, 'KILL HIM! KILL HIM!' and other voices, maybe in Harry's own head, crying, 'Harry! Harry!'" We find out later that Dumbledore was the one who pulled Quirrell off Harry, but Harry heard voices. Do you think there was someone else? Or was it really just in Harry's head?
