I thought I'd start a poll to get some deathly hallows chatter going. Its just a fun poll to get some feedback (although I know we've touch on it in the thread) without saying exactly what it is- if you want to be more specific in your responses please put a spoiler notice on. Thanks chucks  For me, I thought the outcome was appropriate but was dwelling on it for days and nearly shed a tear, so I'm half and half between answer 2 and 4. |

Spoilers I always thought he would die, but I thought he would die saving Harry. In a way, he did when he gave Harry his thoughts. But then, we found out the significance of Harry having Lily's eyes. Severus died looking into her eyes.  But for LV to callously shove him into Nagini's bubble and watch while one of his most faithful (he thought) servants was slashed by venomous fangs was horrifying. For some reason, I always see Severus dressed in white in this scene. Once again, JKR goes way beyond what we can imagine. And the side Snape was on? Lily's side and only Lily's side. |

I wasn't surprised by the outcome but I was taken by the circumstances surrounding it all. You could sense through JKR writing that there was something else on the outside edge of Snape but too find out that it was love that dwelled on the edge was hard to comprehend. There were so many times Snape could have let Harry meet his end yet he always seemed to be there on the out edges. Hard to imagine looking at a child and having so much hatred for one parent and so much love for another that it would color your entire existence. JKR is fabulous.

I was sad by Snapes death but i always said it would happen and at the end of the day he helped Harry. Harry finaly knew was on his side and why dumbledore trusted him. In some was he had to die, can you imagine if he lived and he was popping over to Harry and Ginny's kids and they all call him uncle sevvie! It couldn't have happed thats not the way he worked i don't think he would have wanted harry to know he loved Lily if he was still alive and if he never gave harry him memories than Harry probably would have defeted voldie. Do you get what i'm saying here i know i ramble.
I loved the last book there is nothing in it that i wouldn't have changed
