I have lots of favorite actors. Some I just drool over (Orlando Bloom). There are others that I'm completly blown away by their acting talent (Dustin Hoffman). And then there are those lucky few where it's both (Alan, Johnny Depp). I thought I was the only one with a passion for Dustin Hoffman! The guy just knocked me over recently when I suddenly saw a couple of his movies all at once (Meet the Fockers, Runaway Jury, Rain Man and Outbreak- how diverse are they?!). Kenneth Branagh is in my town right now *does a little dance*. He's directing a new comedy, Ducktastic, which premiere's here. Hoping to spot him around town

Have you seen The Graduate? I love that movie, and Dustin's great in it too. Dustin also has a small role in Finding Neverland, which is also a wonderful movie...

One of my other favorite actors is William Petersen (sp?) who plays Gil Grissom in CSI: Las Vegas, (i have mentioned this somewhere before) I think as an actor he is brilliant. I haven't seen him in anything else though, i loved to see him acting in something the opposite of his character in CSI. you should watch Young Guns 2, not only is there a young William Peterson, there is a young Viggo

Ahhh Viggo..... I really, really like Viggo Mortensen. He has an integrity, intensity, and believability that I find sooo appealing. And Dustin Hoffman is a master. He's wonderful to watch.

William Peterson is frequently on a SciFi movie about a giant squid (can't recall the name offhand but I've seen it several times. He's good in it.

Viggo Mortensen recently played Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings films, and he was whatsisname in Hidalgo. He had a new movie out, too...History of Violence or something like that.

Viggo is Viggo Mortensen mostly the world knows him as Aragorn in Lord of the Rings... some will recognize him from GI Jane as the mean Sargent who reads poetry, the ball player that Sandra Bullock meets in 28days, here's a link to his imdb page www.imdb.com/name/nm0001557/edit: I see that Angie already answered that , I logged in from most recent posts.. just rechecked and Angie's answer not listed there, bizarre, anyways sorry for the double info, I leave it here for the link though

I have just posted my list of top ten but you're all staying with the ones that are alive what about the dead ones?
Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant, Humphrey Bogart, Rex Harrison, Robert Helpmann (who? you might say? Robert Helpmann played the Child Catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and he also played the March Hare in Fiona Fullertons Alice in Wonderland, not only did he act but he was a trained ballet dancer and was one of the most talented men of his day! He also came from Australia so you could say Geoffrey Rush for the seventies!) Oh and he was also my pre Rickman crush him and David Bowie!
Actresses, well, Julie Walters, Maggie Smith, Elsa Lancaster was good as was Hermione Baddeley, (she caused a scandal in the twenties by wearing trousers on her wedding day!) Some of these didn't feature in my top ten, but then ten is such a small number!
Actors I don't like at all and probably never will are Brad Pitt (just thinking of him makes me shudder, I have two hundred or so films and none of them have him in it and never likely too!) Al Pacino, never really am interested in the subject matter he tends to act in his films, Tom Cruise is all right I suppose but I can live without him though I would love to see Collateral where I hear he plays a villain.
Actresses I can live without are Angelina Jolie (watched her wooden performance in Alexander and am definitely going to boycott her and hubby's version of Wuthering Heights as I have a version with Ralph Fiennes in that I am quite happy with!) Penelope Cruz and a few others that I can't think of!
