I will just name the ones i like, as I'm too tired to explain why (it's 1 am in here and I have to get up at 6:30 am) and just tell me what you think about them... Gabriel Byrne, Kenneth Branagh, Paul Bettany, Gary Oldman, John Malkovich, Tim Robbins, Sean Bean, Christian Slater, Ralph Fiennes, Anthony Stewart Head, John Hannah, Guy Pearce... ;D And these are just the ones I prefer...

I so agree with you on Gabriel Byrne! *drools* And Anthony Stewart Head! Are you perchance a 'Buffy' fan too? ;D (Spike to Giles "Cup of tea, cup of tea, almost shagged, cup of tea" - priceless!)

Well, you're the first person I met who really likes Gabriel... Again an actor who's not "handsome" but charismatic! I'd say that also for John Malkovich... Yup, I'm a big Buffy fan. I got all the seasons on dvd, with the musical being my favorite!!! ASH is a great actor, and he seems so cool when he is not acting (like chewing when he is interviewed, very much like an adult ... ;D ) Spike : "A bear, you made it a bear... Undo it, undo it!"

Did you see him in 'Stigmata'? Made me want to start going to church again! I think he's very attractive, and I just love his lilting (is it Irish?) accent . . . dreamy! I can't believe other people don't find him good-looking And 'Buffy' was one of my favorite TV Shows! The Musical one was the best! (OK - I'll completely 'out' myself as the utter geek I am and admit that I bought the soundtrack!) ;D "I died . . . a long time ago . . ." LOL!

Of course, I saw him in Stigmata... quite a nice movie. As I already say elsewhere, I do believe in a God but I don't believe in the Church anymore... I know Gabriel is Irish, but I can't tell you at all if he has an accent... lol Some other people find him good looking, but they hide quite well!!! ;D "but you make me feel... like it wasn't so!" LOL I think Joss Whedon is a genius! He also build a great universe... and I noticed quite some references to HP... Like, why are you going all Dumbledore on me? Very nice!!!

One of my other favorite actors is William Petersen (sp?) who plays Gil Grissom in CSI: Las Vegas, (i have mentioned this somewhere before) I think as an actor he is brilliant. I haven't seen him in anything else though, i loved to see him acting in something the opposite of his character in CSI.
I actually like most of the actors in CSI: Las Vegas, Jorja Fox is brilliant as Sara Sidle, i just love the way her character is and the total opposite that she is to Cathrine Willows who is played by Marg Helganberg (very sp?)
I also happen to think that Eric szamanda (sp?) is gorgeous and i love the way he is as Greg Sanders, comical and cheeky.
I could talk about CSI too much so i will stop myself now and I'll post this as i am singing...................Who are you. who, who, who, who.

I agree - JW is a complete genius! And Dawn said something HPish as well "It's not like I'm going to Hogwarts!" lol! and winky22, I think William Petersen is strangely attractive too! I really want Grissom and Sara to get together . . . ahhh! I don't tend to go for the 'eye candy' types usually, but I've got to say - I have a huge crush on Tom Welling. Sigh - he's very good looking, tall, fit! (He plays Superman on 'Smallville')

As much as I love William Peterson on CSI, George Eads (aka Nicky) is my man on that show. He's just so mmmmmm...
(what can I say? I'm a woman of many tastes)

There are lots of actors I admire, several are mentioned above, but one in particular I consider a similar caliber as Alan is Jason Isaacs. Wow. His performance as George Darling/Captain Hook in Peter Pan was spectacular...I loved it. Also great as Lucius Malfoy. A good performance in Dragonheart, actually (alongside David Thewlis, by the way). And who can forget Col. Tavington? Let see...who else...I have to say I like Viggo Mortensen. Oh, and Patrick Stewart is pheomenal (yeah, I've been on a Star Trek TNG kick recently) I love his voice. My absolute favorite version of A Christmas Carol is the one with him as Scrooge. Gosh, there are a lot of actors I enjoy, but I'm gonna end here for now. Later!

I haven't seen CSI for a long time, but I remember having Grissom as my favorite character. I've become more of a Law & Order person though. I love watching Detective Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson on L&O SVU (sorry, I don't know their real names ). The originals were what got me hooked. I was so heartbroken when Jerry Orbach passed away. I always thought he was the best thing that happened to the L&O series.

I used to watch Law & Order all the time too - and I really got into the "Criminal Intent" one, mainly because of Vincent D'Onofrio. He's such an intense actor! Hard to believe that's him in Men In Black (as Edgar the Cockroach) - talk about 'losing yourself' in a role! ;D
And Patrick Stewart! Yum! Gotta love that voice!

ACK! *facepalm* I forgot to mention that I love watching Hugh Laurie as well. Ever since I saw the series premiere of House, M.D., I've been hooked. Gotta love them sarcastic professors. Dr House rocks my socks every Tuesday at 9.

And you know - he's in Sense & Sensibility too - almost steals the show as the snarky MP married to that brainless git! ;D

I like the guy on Las Vegas. I think his name in it is Dan or Danny. I can't remember. I also like Jason Isaacs.

Like many of the above, their involvemnt in theatre must help enrich that fantastic voice. Tom is no actor but I love his speaking voice, nonetheless.

My favourite Actors are: 1. Orlando Bloom --In short, he is BEAUTIFUL and YUMMIE!!! What a Babe!!! He grabbed my attention as Legolas in LOTR. The British Accent and voice also makes me melt. 2. Alan Rickman--Suave and sexy. He IS Snape--no other man does the role justice. His British Accent and voice also makes me melt 3. Jason Isaacs--Once again, fine looking man with a beautiful Irish accent. LOVE him as Lucius Malfoy. 4. John Travolta-- 5. Tom Cruise 6. Robyn Williams--He is such a great actor and comedian. A few years ago he was on Oprah Winfrey's show. He had me laughing so hard I fell out of my chair. I also had a stomach ache from laughing so hard. Television Actors: 1. William Peterson--Gill Grissom from CSI 2. George Eads--Nick Stokes of CSI 3. Eric Szmanda--Greg Sanders in CSI 4. Danny Pino--Scotty Valens 5. Anthony LaPaglia--John Malone on Without a Trace. He was in "The Client" in which he played a bad guy.

I'm positive Patrick has done Shakespeare. :)He's another actor that I would absolutely do anything to see onstage.
Totally with you with all those men with wonderful voices, and I'd like to add Anthony Hopkins to that list. Oooh, and Kenneth Branagh and Mel Gibson. Also, regarding LOTR, I'd love to hear Billy Boyd (Pippin) put out an album or something; he's got a beautiful tenor voice. (We got just a small taste of him singing in the movies and soundtracks)
In Law &Order SVU, I like :-*Christopher Meloni...

I have lots of favorite actors. Some I just drool over (Orlando Bloom). There are others that I'm completly blown away by their acting talent (Dustin Hoffman). And then there are those lucky few where it's both (Alan, Johnny Depp).
There are many actresses out there who are simply amazing, and it's insane that they haven't won every award possible forever and ever. Emma Thompson and Amber Tamblyn are a couple to name a few (I'm sure they'd make me laugh, cry, giggle, and weep in detergent commercials)...
