Well, this really has nothing to do with Alan, but I had just such an horrible week end (and it's not over yet so I'd better be careful) See, as I said somewhere else, I have a bit in common with Tonks (mostly for the clumsiness and also, my boyfriend is 10 years older... but no werewolf, don't worry!!!) Last week (on Friday I think) I took the bus to go back home. When the driver braked (?), a man just stepped (or more jumped) on my left foot. I had some pain on the moment then it vanished (I'm quite resistant to pain actually). Then, beginning of this week, I had some difficulties to walk normally (in the morning I was right, but in the evening, it was really painful... jeez, I'm making a novel here... ;D ). Well, I went to the doc on Friday in the morning and he told me that my "sinew" (tendon) was moving left and right because of dried blood (the man who stepped on my foot had sectioned a vein). He gave me some cream and pain killer and asked me if I wanted to stay home that day. I said no (stupid me) and went to work... I arrived late (but my boss and my colleague are really nice so it wasn't a problem) and my first clients were two young women who wanted to send some packages in Spain. Eight actually, and they hadn't weight them. So here I go, taking the packages (from 6,600 kg to 20 kg, don't know how much it is in pounds but for the heavier one, thinkg about carrying twenty bottle of water... ). For the last on, I nearly fell and hit my back hand in the wall... I still hurt (not like hell but quite much) and I was stupid enough not to cry and acting like a young and stupid girl (at least, my boss would have realised I was serious about the pain and took me to the hospital). I think nothing is broken but anyway... But wait, that's not over I woke up this night with stomach ache, and some fever. I thought, maybe it's gonna be "that time" but no, it's a gastro-enteritis (do you know that?), as my boyfriend just had one last week. When I just wanted to go to bad, my cat was frightened by something (don't remember what, I was kinda sleep walking lol) and he just put his claws into my foot (and wonder which, my left one)... So here I am, with stomach pain, pain in the foot, in my had and arm, with some fever and I really hope that it's gonna be it for the week end!!! Sorry for the length of the post, I really needed to write it down ;D

Wow angelique! Bad week! I think a large dose of Alan will help ease the pain If you have photoshop, you can cut out Kate's head and insert yours ;D- I'm sure Alan would gladly bring you flowers with all your recent injuries!

I was thinking about an Alan marathon actually, but I'm kinda dizzy due to the fever... LOL You poor dear! I think if you're feverish, you'd better stay away from the 'Alan-as-villain' flicks . . . maybe if you watch 'Galaxy Quest' with your fever, you'll see it on another whole level.

Thank you Angie... And that's a cute kitten (mine was a bit like that a looong time ago...lol) Well, the only good news is that I have to stay home the whole week (no working this week)! ;D I gotta sleep and watch Alan movies (and maybe some others too, cause I don't have so many with AR)

I feel for you I really do,hope you get better real soon..... I have had one of those crap weeks, you know,no matter what you do is wrong!!!It is total pants at work at the moment,I am a supervisor and my boss is going on holiday for two weeks and has asked me to be in charge while she is gone, well, talk about being chucked in the deep end,I have to swap people around on a daily basis, keep check on all products going in and out,and I have to make sure that certain products go out everyday,no matter what,I am coping, but hell,it really is a lot to do,and I am on my own,I nearly quit the other day,but I know deep down in myself that I just need to have a little bit more confidence,so onto next week when I have to go out there on my own,I can do it,in fact, when I feel it gets all too much,I go on the pc and find a nice piccie of our man, look at it for a while over a nice cup of tea,and then that makes me feel a whole lot better..... I need to win the lottery so bad....then I would treat you guys to a night out on me,and if I won a lot of cash, buy a great script, get Alan in the lead, and then we could all meet him,oh,but to dream....

I guess this is now the gripe/vent/grouch thread. Good. (warning--may be long post, sorry)
As many may know, the new Medicare Part D prescription insurance took effect 2 weeks ago. It's been horrible at work since. Seems that every other person we had on Medicaid was also eligible for Medicare, so Jan 1, Medicaid booted them over to the Part D benefit. Meaning, every other claim I sent in to Medicaid rejected stating "Bill to Medicare". Ok, fine. "Can I see your new insurance card?"
Few had new insurance cards. Fewer knew who they'd been automatically enrolled with. Add to that the customers who needed a Part D plan because they didn't have one. And those whose retirement insurance decided to drop prescription coverage and make their retirees take out Part D coverage instead. Plus, most jobs change over everyone's insurance on Jan 1. They didn't have new cards either--or know who their new insurers were.
It's been a nightmare. Absolutely horrible. Then add to the mess more problems--when we finally figured out who some of our Medicaid patients were now covered by, we tried to fill some prescriptions. "PreAuthorization Required--call xxx-xxx-xxxx"
I tried calling for one today. I waited AN HOUR AND A HALF and no one picked up. Tried again after lunch--AN HOUR AND 45 MINUTES WITH NO (*&%) ANSWER!!! "Your call is important to us. We appreciate your patience." Yeah, right.
I kept hearing that line from Die Hard: I'm going to count to three--there will not be a four.
thanks. rant over now.

That's a crappy job cissy. LOL. Okay, this weekend goes back to Oct. of last year! (Yeah I know.) Anyway, on Oct. 12 (not the weekend yet) I was hit by a car while I was crossing the street to go to school. I blacked out because of the impact and woke up in the ER. I had to get 5 stitches (the sowing type, not the staples) on the right side of my head. For days I couldn't walk in a straight line, one might think I was drunk. Although I didn't break any bones (thank God) I did receive a nasty bruise on my right leg (which I STILL have). Anyway, I stayed 6 days in the hospital because they wanted to make sure I didn't have any brain damage (I had received a concussion when I hit the wind shield of the car). Okay, that's one bad weekend, here's another: This happened last month, Jan. 10 (again not the weekend yet). But my dad past away that day. The week was horrible but the weekend that followed was somewhat okay because I just tried not thinking about it. And my birthday is next Monday, so let's see how that plays out. (Again, not the weekend.)

How horrible, Tigersnake, to have to go through your experience of getting hit by a car (thankfully you survived), and then the loss of your father . I'm very sorry to hear that! My thoughts are with you! Sincerely, Giggin
