So, my December trip to Vegas is upon me! I leave today - yippee! It's really short, and I'll be back on Sunday, but I'm starting to get really excited (and nervous, I do so hate flying!). I'm going to try and catch a glimpse of Grissom while I'm there, lol! Don't know what I'll do three whole days offline away from the forums, though . . . gasp! ;D So...you should be back now Billywiggy! Welcome back! Yeah! I hope your trip was fun! Did you win any money, or did you stay away from those slots altogether? Hope you had a great time !

Thanks, winky22, giggin! I did have a fun time . . . that place is crazy, though! ;D It's amazing all the things you can do and see, all for free! I did do a bit of gambling, but not too much. I mostly watched my friend play . . . turns out she's a Pai Gow Poker demon . . . who knew?! LOL. Didn't see Grissom

Yeah...winter break is here *jumps up and down*! My husband and I already went on a nice trip earlier today, down to a particular beach where we got married 3 1/2 years ago. It was so nice ;D! Well...it was freezing ...but very nice and so romantic !

Hey all . . . I was away in the desert this weekend, attending the Coachella Valley Music Festival. It was a crazy time!! 100 degree heat, no shade . . . and you couldn't bring in any food or water . . . they wanted you to buy everything (and they were charging $2 for those little 8 oz bottles of water!!). Plus, there weren't enough portable toilets (I won't go into details, but you can imagine! lol). I swear, when we got home, I felt as if I'd managed to finish some sort of endurance trial or something! ;D All complaints aside, though - I had a blast! All the bands were amazing, there were so many! I got to see Franz Ferdinand, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Madonna, Cat Power, James Blunt, The Walkmen, Sleater-Kinney . . . omg the list goes on and on . . . And as hot as it was - the desert was beautiful. It was in Indio, which is a bit further east of Palm Springs (near the Joshua Tree National Park - for those familiar with the U2 album ;D ). The whole valley is ringed with these gorgeous, scrubby mountains. One of them even had snow on it! My friend and I were desperately wishing we could 'apparate' to the top of the snow-peaked mountain just for 10 minutes so we could cool down a bit, lol!

And LOL winky! Yes, 'crouching' was the verb of the day. Although there's precious little space in there . . . let me tell ya! (Plus, you're trying very hard not to touch anything!) My thighs were very shaky at the end of the weekend. TMI! TMI! Hey - you asked! ;D

Well that is wierd i thought we all celebrated that at the same time!

This is better because we get to celebrate twice! I think UK has Mothering Sunday on the first Sunday of April, and the US has Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May. Why? Beats me. ;D
