Oooh - I'm so jealous! That sounds so wonderful - and it's so great that you have someone to show you around (that makes it so much better!). Do you have a list of places you're going to go and what you're going to see? You'll have to post pics when you get back! I'm going to Las Vegas in December . . . not very glamorous or anything - but hey, I've never been! I can't wait to see inside some of those huge casinos . . . but I know the CSI themesong will be in my head the whole weekend! lol!

I am sooooooooo excited, we are actually staying in Luxor so I'd be going to Luxor Temple, Vally of the Kings etc. I am sad that i won't being going to see the Pyramids though, it is too far away and I'm only going for a week. It was so not planned though (there is a long story to this but i wont bore you all with all the details) her husband is Egyptian and he could go because it costs him more and she needed to go but she didn't really want to go on her own and i just said i go and that was that. We had to ask permission off the bosses and they said it was OK so we were like wooooohooooooooo!!! Fraid i don't know how to but pics on the comp that i have took so you wont get any pics, i only know how to if they have a link, i do have a scanner though i just don't know how to do it! Las Vegas will be good and i would have the CSI song in my head all the way there if i was going as i am always singing walk like an Egyptian everywhere i go at the mo.

Funny you should mentioned holidays, I'm off to Majorca this weekend! So no Rickman updates from me for a week folks! Although I shall probably have to hunt down an internet cafe because of serious withdrawl if I try to cope for 8 days without the net And of course my most eagerly awaited trip (which, I erm, haven't booked yet... ) will be to London on November 6th to see some guy called, oh, erm... Alan somebody at some film premiere or something like that ;D

Ooooh, have fun mugglemichelle!
I'm not one for going on trips (which really, is a lie, as in the past year I've visited Indianapolis three times and went to Washington DC for four days), and the most exotic place I've been to recently has been the Super Wal-Mart in Huber Heights, Ohio...

Lucky, lucky! No vacations for me this year so far. I do hope to take a couple of my cousins (the closest things I have to sisters) with me to Kansas City for a Rennaisance Festival in a week or two. I've always loved to travel, and my very short list is thus: Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, a visit to California, and back out East to D.C and NYC; England, Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, Egypt, and France and Italy. There are so many places I'd like to see, and so many things I'd like to do!

Me can't wait! Again, I'll just state how absolutely jealous I am! I just saw the Tutankhamen exhibit at the LACMA last week . . . it was awesome! And there's so much more than that at the museum in Cairo . . . ahhhhhh green with envy! Have a blast!! ;D

The holiday I have been on recently was the Lake District to visit my gran. I went to see Pride and Prejudice up there only to find out afterwards that, that summer Alan Rickman stood in that very same cinema and introduced three of his films there! Can you imagine how miffed I was! And my gran asked "Who's Alan Rickman?" she's seen loads of his films and she still asked who he WAS!
Apart from that it was actually quite a good holiday, I got my eyes done in Body Shop.

Right, here are the details of my lovely holiday! The first day we went to Hatshepsut temple which looks very modern to all of the others. it's beautiful to look at and i can't believe how they could have mad it all those years back. If you don't know who Hatshesput (pronounced hat-chet-soot) i tell you. she was the only woman Faeroe she was thrown into marriage at the age of twelve to her half brother that i can't remember the name of. When he died she wanted to take on his role and then it wasn't heard of, a woman ruler. she even wore the Faeroe garments she wanted to rule that much and she did a good job of it. After she died they decided they couldn't of had a woman ruler and tried to erase her out of their history but they didn't do it very well. it's a good story, i am not good at explaining things i know so i urge you all to watch it if you get the chance. I saw it on sky on the discovery Chanel's. It was very hot that day we drank lots of water which we named Egyptian champagne. The we went to the Valley of the Kings which was the best for me. I went in to Tutankhamen's tomb which is small bot wonderful with lots of color and he is still in there! I will never forget tutmosis the 3rd his tomb is right up in the mountains which as a larger unfit girl nearly killed me! We had to go up, up, up in the mountains then down, down, down into the tomb which again was brilliant full of color all the symbols on the wall are amazing, of course then i had to go up, up, up out of the tomb then! we had lots of exercise that day! Then on the same day we went to Habu Temple which was the temple of Ramses the 3rd (i think, I'm not sure) and that temple was so lovely had still had alot of color in there, that was my favorite temple for sure till you go to Egypt you just can not imagine it. I loved the hustle and the bustle it is just so different to here. Some people say Egypt is Smelly i feel sorry for those pathetic people as it smell as much as it does here it is just different smells, it an hot country what do people expect! I brought alot of Silver Jewelry that day as well, i love my silver i am not very fond of gold. I was going to buy two rings and a bracelet but i ended up buying two bracelets, four rings and a key of life pendent, spendaholic me! Day two we went to Luxor Museum which was wonderful and a bit eerie as it had mummies in dark rooms and you could see there faces! It had lots of lovely items including an Axe which was really beautiful, yes an beautiful Axe you had to be there to see it to know what i mean. Then we went to Karnak temple which is HUGE and very beautiful and again in places it still had alot of color when they were first built and full of color they must have been amazing! We went in this very dark room and we couldn't see a thing we got out of there sharpish as we kept hearing an squeaking noise and thought is was a bat! The engravings where so deep it looked like it must have took them ages! Day three we had an relaxing day at the pool in a hotel called the club med it was beautiful as it was right near the Nile. It was good to have an relaxing day as the others where really nackering. Day four was a day for the ladies we had diner out with my friends, friend who lives in Egypt and we did a bit of shopping. The streets are wonderful like i said the hustle and the bustle i loved. Day five we went on an faluker on the Nile and i took us to Banana island (guess whats there?) the banana plants where huge and beautiful to look at the island also grows Lemon, mango's, dates, oranges etc we nicked some Lemons and Oranges! There is an shop on Banana island own by a Mr Lovely who's is so funny (not his real name of coarse) i spent alot of money in his shop (it's more like a little shack) he gave us some free stuff because of that. Day six was another pool day and we were a bit sad because we where leaving the next day and we didn't want to go back. The family was lovely i miss then all loads they are like my family now, i couldn't understand what half of them where saying but we got on fine. the food was delicious not many people can say they have had a proper home cooked Egyptian meal. We found a scorpion on the first day and my friends husband squashed it. I had an fantastic time and i urge people to go because i think Egypt is the best place in the world. I can't wait till i go back.

So, my December trip to Vegas is upon me! I leave today - yippee! It's really short, and I'll be back on Sunday, but I'm starting to get really excited (and nervous, I do so hate flying!). I'm going to try and catch a glimpse of Grissom while I'm there, lol! Don't know what I'll do three whole days offline away from the forums, though . . . gasp! ;D
