Monk is one of my favorite shows. Tony Shalob (sp?) is a great actor for Monk.

Not much of a tv fan but I love Friends, Doctor Who, QI, AND my most favourite show of them all is Inspector Lynley mysteries, the chemistry between Lynley and Havers is fantastic, and everytime I watch it I just want them to get together, so yeah, they're my favourite tv ship.
I used to love The Monkee's and cissy, I am glad I am not the only one that likes that show, I wish they'd bring them out on DVD... My favourite one was a corrupt toy company, and they disguised themselves as children to find out what was going on and Mickey Dolenz said...
"My mama won't let me play with toys that crash, and bash, and go boom!"
I also love Maid Marion and her Merry Men, and Red Dwarf, Only Fools and Horses and Frost, and Morse... I like a lot from the past but my general opinion of tv today? Terrible Value!

OMG... I did not even know this thread existed. LOL. Sorry... Anyway, I watch a lot of TV because I need noise. But I actually do watch a few shows: The Office (I'm sure EmmyMik already declared her love for it. ) The Law & Order series, all 3 of them (but only the new ones, not the re-runs) Monk (I see he was already mentioned) Whose Line is it Anyway? (I'm so sad they don't give new shows) SNLThe Tonight Show with Jay LenoLate Night with Conan O'Brien (he's hilarious!!) The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (so funny!) The Colbert Report Has anyone seen this show? I think it's beyond hilarious. Oh and now I've been watching Hardball with Chris Matthews and Countdown with Keith Olbermann. Countdown can be pretty funny.

Love, love love
1. House because of Hugh Laurie (although if I were in a relationship with House I'd strangle him in his sleep with one of his socks) 2. Project Runway - can't get enough 3. Sex & the City and I'm glad Carrie and Big got back together again because I've been a Chris Noth fan since Law & Order which brings me to 4. Law & Order Criminal Intent if it's Chris's turn to be on (but what's with that red hair dye? go salt & pepper,Chris, you'll look good!) 5. I looooved Black Adder 6. Any BBC period production and I adore Stephen Fry. Loved him in Peter's Friends, Gormenghast Trilogy and he would have made a fan-tast-ic CS Lewis in Narnia because he resembles him. I will be renting Wooster & Jeeves soon because I adore Hugh Laurie as well.

I've never watched a single episode of The Office (UK or US versions). I have tried but never got it. I also don't really like Little Britain either when most people find it hilarious... Anyway, less of what I don't like and more on what I do! Obviously big on Dr Who and also my Star Trek and Stargates (see my website for full extent of nerd-dom ) Anyone like 24? How I love Jack Bauer!! With all the security alerts over here at the airports right now I was imagining what a busy 24 hours the UK's own Jack Bauers' must have been having! I also like Monk, some of his little obsessive compulsive things even wore off I was watching it so much! I often straighten the drinks mats and picture frames ;D What else.... The 4400 is good, just started Town Called Eureka too. Any Brits watching How do you solve a problem like Maria?, our latest reality show? Love a good singing contest

I agree with you MM, I can't get either the Office or Little Britain, and I can't STAND Catherine Tate, half her characters are just pale female imitations of Harry Enfield and Chums, and he did them way better imo!
I would so love Stephen Fry to play C S Lewis, he'd be brilliant at that part, and I don't care what sexuality that guy is, I think he's gorgeous and sexy!
And I ADORE Monk, in fact I love it so much, I want to get them on DVD... Tony Shalhoub is one of my favourite actors... not least because of his part of Fred in Galaxy Quest but because he can genuinely ACT! Did you see the one where he was rubbing a guys signature off a ball because he thought it needed it? I thought that was funny, and heartbreaking at the same time.

Oh, we just rented the UK version of the office a couple weeks ago . . . it was very funny, but uncomfortable to watch! I had the same reaction to 'Seinfeld' when it was on the air actually. Couldn't really enjoy the show, because it was so very painful to watch! ;D

You are so right about Bleak House, Ringo. In fact I'll probably watch it again in the next week. Right now I'm watching He Knew He Was Right from the BBC and Winky's fave David Tennant plays a clergyman (but not a super smarmy one like the bestial Mr. Slope)

Any Brits into their reality tv? I am now hooked on How do you solve a problem like Maria! It is basically a singing contest to see which girl will win a contract to play Maria Von Trapp in the west end musical version of the Sound of Music. Andrew Lloyd Webber is the top judge and sits on this ridiculously hilarious throne whilst they play the music from the Phantom of the Opera when they introduce him, cracks me up everytime ;D And over on the other side (three cheer's for VCRs!) is X Factor which is like Pop Idol/American Idol except they have 3 categories, 16-24, 24+ and groups, who then compete against each other. I love a good put down from Simon Cowell

The only reality TV show I like is X Factor... I want to go on there to get insulted by Simon Cowell, you get more famous for doing that than you do winning the show!!!

I like it when Simon Cowell say's
"I like it but -!" and then he draws out his reservations on the person... although on Saturday he did actually like a girl straight away.... did you like the Louis Walsh number 1 fan?

Awww bless her! And she got into the next round! I wonder if she'll have another gift for Louis I love Simon Cowell, there's just no point in patronising those people who cannot sing, and he puts them down so well ;D
