I thought it would be fun to have a 'TV' thread so we can all obsess about our favorite shows! I spent the day feeling under the weather, and watching 'Firefly'. I never saw it while it was on the air, but a friend of my husband's turned my sweetie onto this, and so we had to buy it. I'm so glad we did - it's awesome! Created and written by the same guy who did the 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel' series, which I also loved. I've only watched the first three episodes, but I can tell I'm hooked already! ;D Now, I'm only sad that it's off the air - lol! So - what TV shows do you guys obsess about - both on air still and now off?

I'm a huge "sex and the city" fan! Althought the series is not longer on tv, I have all 6 seasons on dvd...and I watch them often. And I do enjoy watcing LOST, although I have to say that I'm starting to get a little lost myself when watching it. LOL

I have this weird thing with Lost. I just don't really get into it if I'm watching it by myself. But when I'm watching it with my friends, I love that show. I'm not quite sure why that is.
The main show that I love is the American version of "The Office". I've never seen the British version, but the US version slays me...

I still haven't watched the last season though - will have to rent it. It's on regular cable tv now here in the US, but they cut out all the good stuff, so I don't watch it - lol! The main show that I love is the American version of "The Office". I've never seen the British version, but the US version slays me... Oh I saw this one once, I think. The 'boss' was too funny! So unapolagetically selfish! ;D

Mine is Charmed. I started watching it in reruns about the fifth season. It's still the only show I absolutely have to watch. Unfortunately, the area I just moved to doesn't have The WB which has the new episodes. TNT used to repeat the new episodes on Tuesday night, but they stopped doing it in the 7th season. I've hardly seen any of the 8th season and this is probably the last. Just have to wait for the DVDs to come out.
I also started watching Judging Amy in reruns. Didn't actually like the show because I didn't like either Amy Brennerman or Tyne Daly, but I loved the courtroom scenes. I've stopped watching it now and if I watch anything besides Charmed, it's Turner Classic Movies.

Ooh...love Sex and the City! Great show, Samantha and Miranda are my favorites.
My favorite now is House, I just adore Hugh Laurie even when he is cranky Dr. House, and I like Bones...which has some nice eye candy alumni of Buffy and Angel(loved them both of course), David Boreanaz.
I am also glad to see the Sopranos back for another season finally, though I will admit it is odd so far this season...but still great.

My current favorite show, like candescence, is House! Hugh Laurie is absolutely perfect as House. (And to think I started watching it only because my sister told me that House was almost exactly like Mr Palmer from S&S!)
I've been watching ER every Thursday since it began. I never miss it. I still enjoy it. I also watch CSI (Vegas)...I can't say I enjoy either spin-off as well as this one.

I play it in the background as I work I love e.r., Law and Order, Lost, C.S.I., and the Gilmore Girls, Criminal Minds I am way too fond of Prison Break, Lost,NCIS, Bones, Injustice.... I also like my Reality TV- Survivor , Idol, Top Model, Project Runway, and the Amazing Race and I admit it -I like Star Trek TNG, and Voyager I have not yet succumbed to my desire to buy up all seasons of Buffy, which I regret not watching when it was on tv. or the Young Riders (season one was just released) yeah, way too much tv

Oh! 'Jeeves and Wooster'! I know that is the series with Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry...supposed to be very funny, although I've not seen it. I've asked for it as a birthday present (along with the complete Blackadder), but as my birthday is quite a few months away...oh well.
And Doctor Who! I can't believe I forgot about this show! I used to watch it on PBS all the time...at least, until PBS quit showing it...and I refuse to pay for cable or satellite, so I don't have the new ones to watch...*sigh*

He wasn't on Whose Line often, but he always had me laughing when he was.

Oh yeah you gotta love Jeeves and Wooster!! i love them both to pieces but i haven't seen house because it's not my kind of thing. Stephen Fry does this quiz show here called QI with Alan Davis best know for Johnathan Creek. I love that it is very Knowledgeable.
I can't wait for the new doctor who this Saturday, i loved David Tennant in the Xmas special so i am sure I'm gonna love the rest loads!!! When do you non Brit people get it? do you know?
The girl who plays Rose (Billie Piper) used to be a singer (i don't know if you know already) when she was first starting out i won a competition to speak to her on the phone, i was 16 at the time and loved her music so much. I knew she go bigger and better i just knew.

(And to think I started watching it only because my sister told me that House was almost exactly like Mr Palmer from S&S!) Since y'all recommended House and I really liked Hugh Laurie in S&S, I thought I'd watch it tonight. Definitely not what I expected. I was surprised at his American accent, which I thought he did very well, but it kind of threw me at first. And I expected it to be a comedy. Far from it. But I can see it's going to grow on me as I get to know the characters and the format of the show.
