The only way I have been able to is to re-size with my photoshop - delete the pic from Photobucket - re-size and rename the pic (like add 2 or B at the end of the original name) because Photobucket will not recognize it as being different unless it is renamed, then upload it again. I tried to re-size with Photobucket, but I never could get it to work that way. I hope you have better luck than me in finding a more simple process. . . Photobucket image shrinking works great with everything BUT .gif files. Some reason when you shrink down those file types it adds a "stroke" (outline) around the original image...as well as distorting the image. I found it works particularly well with .bmp and .jpg extentensions. Everything else seems to get messed up. Also Photobucket does not allow identical image names. So if you want to keep the larger original image on photobucket you will have to rename the smaller image. But if you want to just store the smaller image then go ahead and delete the bigger image. When you do that you should be able to save the smaller image under the same name. Though, the best way to shrink an image is to use an image editing program like Adobe, Paint, etc. No doubts there.

Hi Sabines Not sure if you were asking a question or stating a fact?
I believe Alan will be in New York for My Name is Rachel Corrie and is taking part in a Q&A on October 17th.
Also, I have added the NOSPAM to your email address to prevent junk mail. We normally use the private message service provided on the forum for contacting each other rather than giving out email addresses on the boards.

I believe the stars correspond with the level of member you are (which currently range from newbie to God), and that is determined by the number of posts you make. Although if I am incorrect, please put me right

Although if I am incorrect, please put me right Thank you mugglemichelle for clearing that up for me, it is my second day here at A.R.A.S since joining and it was a little confusing. I'd give you a karma for helping me so but I only have one at the moment so I will give you one when I get some more. And I shall continue posting my opinions since that seems to get me further than normally in here so thank you again mugglemichelle and everyone else whose helped me or others. ;D

First of all.....welcome to ARAS waffl3ookiez ....sorry I haven't been on lately...it's the holidays and been a bit busy here. mugglemichelle - you are right about the star and how it works ! Everytime your status as a member goe to the next level, you gain a star. For instance: As a new member, you have one star. As a full member you get two, and it goes up from there until you reach god with five stars. We are actually in the middle of modifying the member status rankings sometime soon. We have quite a few members at 'God' status (the highest) and it will make it fun to have something new to aim for above that status. We will let you know as soon as that changes. Right now each member goes up in these rankings: New Member: 0-49 posts! Junior Memebr: 50-99 posts Full Member: 100-249 posts Senior Member: 250 - 499 posts God Member: 500 and above We are deciding on adding another ranking or two after God since so many of our members have that status already ;D! Keep your eyes open for what we will come up with. Nothing is set in stone quite yet. waffl3ookiez
- just for your information, you can give as many karma points to whom ever you want (one an hour); they are not taken away from you when you give them - you keep yours unless someone hits the smite button...which is not a common practice around here at all - unless it is on accident by those who are unfamiliar with that button I hope you are enjoying the site, and feel free to ask as many questions that you may have . You can also feel free to pm any of the mods here: Emmymik, mugglemichelle, ringo, winky, and I....for any extra help! Once again - welcome to ARAS, and I hope you will get a chance to read through all the threads. They are so much fun ;D!

Thank you for the help I appreciate it, since I love Alan Rickman and since I enjoy feeling welcomed you have done a good job, I think I'm going to have a hard-time trying to get 50 posts or more, but hey I do have my opinions so I shall use them:) even if they aren't much at least they are something. Thank you all once again, I love ARAS and am so glad I found it (by accident). This group has become a type of a life for me, the people, the info, the theories. It's like an alternate universe for me, a happy one, a good one...

You are so welcome waffl3ookiez and we are glad you found us "by accident" ! One way to help get your post count higher is to post in the fun and games section a lot, along with posting in all the other sections. The fun and games sections are real quick and easy, and they move pretty fast when three or four people are playing them ! Hope that helps and you have fun in the process giggin

I just saw the name of your forum (correct assumption?) and fell in love with this site, I come here every day to check out what's been said. And although it may be short in people power, the people in here, have lots of power (thought - power) thank you once again and happy karma day for you for helping me once again!

I'm not sure if I should ask this here, or in the fan creations page, but I'll go anyway... Is there any of you willing to make me a large-ish ARAS something-or-another for my fanpage? I copied one from the creation page, but it's so small, you can hardley see it. I'm thinking something like 125 wide x 225 tall...or somewhere along those lines (think long, horizontal rectangle) And, with Alan's face on there, too ;D Forever yours,

I have an artistic mind without the artist outside (besides my music playing abilities) Hope to help you, but doubts it very much so... Still the thought that counts; hey?

It would be appreciated, but if you can't, that's okay too! I have SerifPhoto8, and I'm able to make somethings, but I'm having a hard time cutting pictures to place on other backgrounds *pouts* I'll give you a karma point for trying!
