I know this is wrong place to ask this, but I don't know how to start a new thread...But I have a few questions! ~How many of you have send a fan letter to Alan? Can you explain the process to me please! How do I get a signed photo? And when is the best time to send him a letter?~ *I already have a letter and a photo for him to sign that I want to send, but I just don't know if it is the approiate time to send it to him, because it might be really busy...any suggestions!* This is straight from mugglenet. I hope it is helpful You can write to his fan-mail address:. Alan Rickman C/O Creative Artists Agency 9830 Wilshire Blvd Beverly Hills, CA 90212

That fan-mail would go to his assistant and eventually get to Alan (I believe). I have read that he does read his fan mail. Go ahead and give it a try

I think the mystery advertising invading our threads is the power of Google... they are unstoppable. Winky, we must call the Time Lord to stop the evil Googleians ;D (I am seriously far too excited about Dr Who! )
I will just phone him up to see if he is not busy then i am loving the doctor too but i miss Rose

Hello, hope this question isn't so silly it makes you all curl up and shriek. ;D I have this 'ere avi, But I can't get it to post in the avatar space! It is from my own photobucket collection...is that the problem?.........OK get laughing at my simple insanity innocence.

Not a silly question at all! The link that will work in the avatar line is the direct link starting with http from your photobucket account. You don't need the tag in front. Just copy and paste the http from that direct link line into the avatar space provided in your "edit Profile" page, and it should work. The size is perfect. Make sure to keep the image in your photobucket account to keep the direct link available. That should be all. I will try it for you to make sure it works ! giggin update : Okay...it works ! You can keep the avatar as I set it for you, or you can use your own photobucket account. I just did as I said above, and then set the width and height to 100 to match the size of your avatar and there you have it.

I know I've been gone for some time, but I was reading through the threads and noticed the whole town censorship issue. Do you gals think it's possible to go here:
Admin --> Restrictions/Censored Words (right column) --> Censor Whole Words (above the list of censored words)
And change it so that "Censor Whole Words" is set to yes? It's the only way you can get the name of the town that's causing an issue to resolve itself once and for all.

That would help with single words, but we also have phrases/sentences it wouldn't work well with. It is something to consider changing as a setting though . Thank you for bringing it up MandyB . And, welcome back ;D!

If so, can you tell me the address you used, and maybe post the letter or picture too? Thanks...

I think it takes quite a while to get a response, a couple of months, not sure how long it was since you wrote? It all depends on his work schedule. I wrote and didn't get any response once and wrote again, but addressed to his assistant and got a letter back from her within a couple of days. I haven't written for an autograph though. The London agency has now changed its name to Independant Talent Group but the address is the same.

I sent an 8x10 picture for an autograph for a Relay for Life, American Cancer Society Benefit back in January. When I made an inquiry I was told by someone that it could be more than 4 months for a response depending on Mr. Rickman's schedule and when he gets his mail. Looks like we will be hoping to get it for next year's benefit show instead of this year's......
