Uh-oh, I don't like the "start shooting next week in LA" I hope that doesn't mean Alan will be going to LA next week.... or if he does he's back in 2 weeks time for the GOF premiere

he may not be required to be there for the first two weeks of filming... I really hope he makes the premier, I love the candid casual alan shots

Sounds interesting. I really like Mary Steenburgen (she was great in Back to the Future Part III, and I just loved her as the mother on Joan of Arcadia), so this should be interesting.
But I do hope that Alan can make the GOF Premiere!

I HOPE this doesn't take up the timing of the making of OOTP. I've said it before and I'm saying it again. Alan Rickman IS Snape. They start filming in January, Don't they? If he is not in this movie, I will be really disappointed. I tried to find the two links. Does it say how long it will take to film?

This new film sounds very good, it's got Alan in it aint it it has t be good! I shouldn't think it will stop him from going to the prem of GoF and OotP doesn't start filming till the beggining of next year so i'm hoping it wont clash.

did anyone else read the post on alanrickman.com guestbook about the talkback after MNiRC? says that Alan would like to put the project on film... do you think this means he will direct it too?

Maybe he would, seeing as he directed the play and has film directing experience too. I was also thrilled to see Alan is on the panel for the London Film Festival! Partly for selfish reasons as I presume he'll be in and around London for the festival, which closes at the Odeon on Nov 3rd and the GOF prem is the 6th

I'm sure he will go, he may as well stay for it. I wish i could go but i wouldn't get the time off work i was lucky to get it for Egypt.

RINGOYou mean read elsewhere? I have, naturally, fingers and toes crossed he'll be there (too scared to write to Melanie incase she tells me bad news, no news gives me a glimmer of hope!). With these charity events still pencilled in, perhaps he's hopping back before next weekend

Hmmmm well like I say, I'll only believe it when I'm there and don't get to see him. I'm one of these people who needs to hear it first hand before I believe it! Guess you could say I doubting these people- whether they actually have a 100% accurate source, e.g. Alan himself Infact, Ambereyes you were there! Did anything get mentioned about it? Also, Sheena was at the Andrew Marr interview and she has very kindly let me post her own memories of the interview, which are at the news thread

I just like to say i enjoyed both Ambereyes and Sheena's recollection on the Andrew Marr interview.
God bless the internet! If i didn't have it i wouldn't have discovered how wonderful Alan is!

Looks like Alan took September in the voting (yes, I voted too). How do we vote in the grand finale???

I'm guessing we have to wait until they have November and December's winners, so a little while yet. Its going to be a tough one though, even my mouse might be waving before I click on Alan with the other talent he's up against!

There's no doubt as to who I'm voting for when it's time. (A lot of the finalists so far are those that I haven't heard about or those who I can't stand. So after a lot of give and take, my decision's already made.)

We had no cameras round our area. We were to the left of the walkway as the actors walked towards the cinema, opposite side to the dragon and the press (basically, furthest away from everything ) My banner was out from 11am and the camera guys came along, took one look and walked back! They obviously cannot appreciate good hard work when they see it! Although I haven't seen that much coverage of the fans at the premiere, its all interviews and the dragon.
