I have found this on VHS for £6.00 on ebay... do you think that I should be prepared to risk it? It does sound a cool movie and it might be one I might watch again or do you think I should wait until it comes on TV... I have to be extremely careful... you know!

Well, I tried waiting around for it to come on T.V. and cable, but it never did show up there, so I got it from Netflix to watch even though I would much prefer to have it in my own personal library.

I finally saw this one (yay!) My boyfriend, goddess love him, was flipping around the channels and stumbled upon it and said "isn't this a rickman movie?" I said "what's it called" he told me and I said Hell yes! So we watched it.
We came in about halfway through..just when Alan was coming on (oh we have some great timing don't we?) The first um.."scene" I was like "He didn't even take his shirt off! What a jip!" Jason laughed. Then the second "scene" Jason said "there, he took his shirt off for you." I was too busy drooling to reply.
I thought the ending stunk and it was really sad...Jason felt the same and so we needed to listen to some music at full blast at oh, 2am to get happy again LOL

I saw it for the first time last night, too, on Sundance channel! I've never seen Alan look more handsome in a movie and I liked O'Hara's character. He really was a wonderful Captain Hook. I was devasted by the end, particularly when they juxtaposed Tinkerbelle "flying" and Alan being lifted. It was too sad because none of it really was his fault. It was a tragic encounter. I thought O'Hara may have been wrong to take up with such a young girl, but I guess that was because he was searching for his lost love and she reminded him of her. In a way, both O'Hara and Stella were abandoned. I didn't believe it but Hugh Grant really can play a b@st@rd convincingly. I hated his character and felt for Bunny and the poor young boy. I don't think I'd watch this one again because of the sadness factor (OK, I probably will ;D) , but the stills from it are a must have.

Well, I've been gone from this website for months, but I'm making my return. I was able to buy this wonderful film off Amazon.com over the summer. Of course I knew about this movie before I watched it, and thought the idea of P.L. O'Hara, getting "involved" with his daughter was quite disgusting, but then I saw the movie. I was blown away by Alan Rickman's performance, I have to say I truly enjoyed watching the movie. It was worth the wait. I did not know about the ending though, and when a certain sence came up, I burst into tears. I can't watch the movie now. The other day it was on the Sundance channel in the morning, right before I felt for school, I watched it, and as soon as that one part approached, tears began to trickle down my face. At that moment my best friend chose to make an appearance and she laughed at me. Told me I'm such a baby. lol. guess I am. Did any of you really like the movie?

Thank you for the warm welcome amirab !! ;D Awe, do not worry, I am sure you will be able to see the movie soon. Perhaps you should purchase it online. They do have good deals on Amazon.com. I believe my copy of the movie only cost me $12. Good Luck with your search in finding the movie.

I finally saw this movie. I'd forgotten all about it, and then, what do you know, they show it on one of the stations I get!
Personally, there wasn't enough Alan for me. Without Alan, I'm not sure if I would have bothered with the movie too much because it was, well, I don't want to say boring, but it was just hard to see how things fit together, or what exactly was happening. It made me think, though, which I guess is good.
Overall, I liked the story.

But anyways, when I have money I'll try to buy this. Thanks.
