Anyone who isn't dead or from another plane of existence would do well to cover their ears. Right about ... now. Metatron has to be one of my favourite Alan characters ever.

I wonder whose idea it was to cast Alan Rickman as the voice of God?
Because that person was a genius.
My favorite part was when he yelled, "It never ends!" and proceeded to use God's dress to wipe his suit. Dude!

They must have been a pure genius to do so and to call him the voice, it is just so true. I love him in the comedic roles well i'd love him any role even a bread roll I love that bit too, well i love every Alan bit in it, every other bit as well.

Well I guess you have to be the voice of God to get away with something like that. Oh and I love when he 1st appears. He tries to be all dramatic, and the lady uses the fire extinguisher on him and he starts coughing. LOL. Loved him in this role.

*dies laughing* I'd almost forgotten that bit - I've GOT to go and dig out Dogma again...
Metatron's easily the funniest character in that film, mainly because he's the only one who doesn't use a profanity every other word. Not that Jay and Silent Bob aren't funny, it's just a different class of humour, one that Rickman's got down to a T.

Should have just lapped up Teh Voice! I understood it better after the second time it's alot to take in the first time. When i explain it to people they think it sounds confusing. I am actually part watching it now, plus part typing.

My favorite part was when he yelled, "It never ends!" and proceeded to use God's dress to wipe his suit. Dude! I love that part. I just finished watching Dogma, the deleted scenes. No Alan there. Last night I stayed up to 1 am to finish watching it. And I watched the commentary, and I found out that Alan hurt his back when he had the wings on. And if you watch the beginning of the scene at the fancy restaurant, he slides into his chair.

I just finished watching Dogma for the first time....FUNNY! Yeah, the best thing about it was Alan as the Metatron. I love seeing him in comedies! Perfect casting of himself as an angel. If I could request my own guardian angel.... Really, though, I had some reservations about Dogma, but now that I've seen it, no worries. I'll have to have a copy of my very own. I'm gonna go wash my ears out with soap now, though

Before I first saw Dogma, I wasn't sure if it was my kind of film. Even while watching it, I wasn't very sure (while I'm no stranger to swearing, and even have a bit of a potty mouth, I do have my limits). Yet, I found that after watching it, I liked it.
And I love SnarkyAlan, so this made me a happy camper...

Dogma is now one of my favourite films and i often Re-watch it.

And I love SnarkyAlan, so this made me a happy camper... ;D I love Snarky/Alan too! And funny thing, (just watched this again tonight) maybe it's because of the blackness of his hair-but I kept being reminded of him as Snape. Maybe it's the 'snarkiness'?! Lol!
