I also thought I'd start a thread to chat about Snow Cake. Hopefully it will get a worldwide release! This is my favourite picture from those I found during filming in Wawa earlier this year.

I am very much looking forward to Snow Cake. The difference in Sigorney (sp?) and Alan performances compared to Galaxy Quest does interest me as actors the characters will be very different and i like to see that (if you know what i mean).

I haven't seen many of Sigourney Weaver's movies so Galaxy Quest does stick in my head. I'm sure this movie will be very very different! I do worry it won't be a proper release and I won't get to see it, like The Search for John Gissing

www.searchforjohngissing.com/Its a movie Alan made with Juliet Stevenson, which won a stack of awards at various film festivals but has never been released! There's been a couple of petitions to get it released on dvd but to no avail. The website should tell you all you should need to know

I wonder when we will get some information on this film,it sounds really good, and I cant wait to see Alan in a film where he is not in a wig or costume(although,I do,do,do,love Snape with big kisses),I love to see him in modern day dramas.... I have been putting his name in all the search's and snowcakes, but nothing....does anyone know who is releasing the picture?

I can't wait for this film either as it has also the great Carrie Ann Moss in it! And it is about Autism. A subject very close to home as my sister is Autistic. And also my brother is aspergic.
So it would be interesting to see it.

I have a question. What will the rating be? I'm just wondering to see if I can see it by myself or if my mom will have to take me to see it.

I'm not sure what rating Snow Cake might be, amirab. I'd guess minimum 12, from what i've read at this site elsa found yesterday (go elsa!) Its the use of "passionate liasons" that make me think there may be the odd bedroom scene hehe www.britfilms.com/britishfilms/catalogue/browse/?id=D590E8EC1689114F43JiHk54EB84This is also the new picture that accompanies the above article. Alan looks soooooooooooooooooooo sexy! I could eat him up with a spoon

I'm always happy to see Himself onscreen (big-screen, little screen, whatever) And the above pic looks great! Another great character role for Alan? Guess I need to click the link, eh?
p.s. Congrats, Madam Moderator Ringo! Cheers!
p.p.s. Ooooooooooh, I just clicked the link and it sounds veryveryvery good! Another great role for Himself! Anything that has the two phrases describing it : "emotionally powerful" and "Alan Rickman" is worth a watch!
