I think she really does get that some people want to know everything its why she wrote Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
as for writing it all out she did say I'm not going to say I'll never write anything to do with the world of Hogwarts ever again. I have often thought [if I wrote] book eight, it would be right and proper to be a book whose royalties go to charity entirely. It could be the encyclopaedia of the world [of Hogwarts] and I could rid myself of every last lurking detail. But no, not a novel- (Harry and Me, BBC special)
so there is hope for the addicts

**crosses fingers** Perhaps Hogwarts, A History? That would be all kinds of awesome... Oh, I'm right there with you . . . you know - I remember when she first did those other schoolbooks, thinking to myself, wouldn't it be great if she did 'Hogwarts, A History'? She has Hermione quote so much of it - she would barely have to do any writing! ;D

Yes Hogwarts A History please! Harry and Ron may never read it but that doesn't mean we won't!
Yes we will have to agree to disagree about the style won't we! I too can understand what you are saying its just that I get technical at times, remnants of having a hag as an English teacher that kept trying to hammer in the technicalities, we even had to over analyze Wallace And Gromit - The Wrong Trousers, talk about having no sense of humour!
My favourite bit in the book though was when Snape caught Harry trying to get to Dumbledore by running and making him uncomfortable with every second, the way Snape was enjoying his discomfort. That was just hilarity personified.
