That was one of the funniest things in the series. Just inspired. I kept waiting for him to get his or at least for Judy to tell him to shake his own d@mn bones ;D

Oh no, Des I hope you get to see the whole movie. It's really very nice, especially if you enjoy old, atmospheric films. The special effects are state-of-the art for the forties but even so the film really excells at setting a suspenseful mood. I've been checking the listings and it's coming on next Saturday at 9:30am on TCM. We don't usually have storms in the morning here, so I'm hoping for the best. I'm looking to an uninterrupted viewing of The Uninvited. I'll have to check that out. I'm going to New Jersey week after next to visit my family and my father has a wonderful collection of old movies. I'm sure he's added to it since I was there last.

I caught on to the plot twist a little before it was revealed, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment. Miss Holloway was just as creepy as Mrs. Danvers. What I love about these movies is the atmosphere they create with just light and shadow. They don't need blood and gore to make me dive for the covers. Thanks for the rec. I'll be trying Bleak House next.

OK, I know this is suppose to be a thread for non-Rickman movies but I didn't know where to post this. I just got back from a few days RandR and boy did I hit the jackpot with Rickman movies!!
To add to my collection, I purchased "The Winter Guest", "Close My Eyes", "The January Man", "Quigley Down Under", and "Truely, Madly, Deeply"!! My question for all of you is which should I watch first?? I want to watch a few in a row and have a Rickman Movie Marathon, but I don't know what to watch in what order. Any advice?? Oh, remember! I still have "Dark Harbor" and "Bob Roberts" that I haven't watched yet either. So, from people who have been fans longer than I have, what order do you suggest my Rickman Movie Marathon should be in??

The only other one I have seen is The January Man, which was good.

Went to see Happy Feet today. It's the first time I've been to the movies since GoF. It was worth seeing if only for the OotP trailer. But I really loved the movie. I thought the animation was outstanding and I loved the music and dancing. With all the oldies they played, I was surprised they didn't include "Gloooriaaa ... G-L-O-R-I-A" I'll definitely be getting the DVD when it comes out.

Just got four Christmas movies in one great package with a bonus CD of songs from the movies. It comes in a package that looks like a leather bound book. All this for $22.95 (plus s&h of course). Too bad it didn't arrive in time for Christmas. Still going to watch them.

I have so many movies, I hardly ever know what to watch. So I surprise myself and just reach in and grab something. My latest surprise movie is the original Star Wars.
