Goodness, I'm so far behind on this thread. Most of you who have been reading Outlander are in our book club discussion thread where we are having a great time discussing that book. If any of you haven't joined us yet, we're just getting started.
I read DaVinci Code quite some time ago and recently read Angels and Demons. As much as I like DaVinci Code, I liked Angels and Demons much more.
Finished The Wonder Worker, the first in the St. Benet's trilogy, but I'm taking a break from Susan Howatch to go through Sue Grafton.
I usually read three or four books at the same time, but I'm not working now, so I don't have a "work" book.
Started two books that I'm just not in the mood for. The Emerald Illusion is a WWII spy novel, which I usually love. And There's no Place Like Home by Mary Higgins Clark. So I'm setting them aside for now.
I think I just need some very ultra light reading. That's why I'm burying myself with Grafton's Kinsey Milhone and her Big Mac's.

I just finished reading The DaVinci Code and have started on Angels & Demons. I really liked TDVC, and I didn't think it would be as exciting as it was...

I have not read this thread very carefully, hope, that I don't write double:
Do you know the book " The dove"? (die Taube) - it would be another perfect role for Alan Rickman.
It is, as "das Parfum" - a novel by Patrick Süskind. And it is a really wonderful book. Not easy to understand, although it is written in a simple speech (?) - or better said - it could be difficult to find a connection to the man, and his thoughts and feelings .. after he saw the dove ...
If you want, I give you a short recap - it is really a fine novel .. and not very long.

I just read Darkfall by Dean Koontz. It was very good. Has anybody else read the book?

Continuing my mystery kick, I'm reading Too Many Women by Rex Stout and B is for Burglar by Sue Grafton. And I just finished One Two Buckle My Shoe by Agatha Christie. It was on TV the other day and I remembered who the killer was, but I felt like reading it again anyway.
I think I'll start Order of the Phoenix soon. I want to read it well before the movie comes out so I don't miss any of the details they leave out of it.

I think I enjoy the movies more when I'm not tearing them to pieces because of what they've altered! lol

I read it just before I saw it in the movies and have not liked that movie since then.

I don't have them all, and the last one in my collection is P is for Peril. I agree, I like them more the second time through. Tell me, did Kinsey ever get back with Bob Dietz? I know he stayed with her when his knee was mending, but I don't know anything after that. She has a bad track record with men right from the start ... Charlie Scorsoni. But I liked Dietz. Small error in B is for Burglar. To go to Boca Raton, she flew into Miami. It would make more sense for her to fly into West Palm Beach which is about 20 minutes from Boca. Picky, picky, I know. I was at a consignment shop today and found Len Deighton's Faith. I have the first two trilogies in the series and have been looking for the final trilogy.

I must tell you that the latest one (silence) is fantastic and the best one of them.

I'll have to pick up the latest one. I was reading The Burglar Who Thought he was Bogart and they mentioned Grafton twice. Obviously being sarcasting when Carolyn said she had been reading A is for Train and another one that was way off the abc's.

I've read three Agatha Christie books in the space of four days and they're all really good:
Evil Under the Sun Three Act Tragedy The Murder of Roger Ackroyd
I just love The Murder of Roger Ackroyd: it was awesome! Oh and by the way, in the Three Act Tragedy there's a "Hermione" in it. LOL. Isn't that where JK Rowling got the name from?

Oh I didn't know Shakespeare used the name Hermione.

Agatha Christie is one of my favorite authors. I've probably got about half of her books. If you like AC, you might want to read Josephine Tey's Daughter of Time. I'd like to read more of her books. There aren't that many since she died fairly young.

Happy reading, TigerSnake - make the most of your reading time now while you have it!

I think they may be on my "not read yet" shelves. I really enjoyed Daughter of Time because I always thought Richard III got a bum rap. He did so many good things. Of course, there were all those unfortunate beheadings.

She did make quite a case for him, didn't she? I read it quite a while ago, but I remember it being a very good read and quite convincing . . . ;D
