Thanks for the reply in the picture thread Olwen. I really did have a pleasant experience in New York, especially with the food. It was a bit expensive, but very satisfying. Everything was massive. The play was absolutely phenomenal. Megan Dodds was brilliant on stage, and really brought out the emotional aspects of the entire situation from beginning to end. I think I had tears in my eyes for at least 20 minutes of the play. It was just such an amazing portrayal of her words and thoughts, as she wrote them. I'm so glad you liked the video.

Hi, guys. Guess where I've been ... down in the blahs. Nothing terrible happened and I really wasn't depressed or anything like that ... just kind of lost interest in everything. Even a marathon of TMD, Blow Dry and GQ didn't perk me up. But I got an OWL from Giggin and realized how much I missed you guys. So I hope you'll forgive me for abandoning you.

So there I was, innocently parked on the swale outside my daughter's house, well back from the driveway. Her stepdaughter just got her driver's license and today was her solo flight from home to work. Don't ask me how she did it, because none of us can figure it out, but she backed out of the driveway onto the swale and slammed into my car, knocking it back about five feet.
I think I'm still in a state of shock.

 ...oh my goodness! Your poor car! Good thing you weren't in it. I hope your step grand daughter is alright  . We do know her depth perception seems is a bit off  ! Sheesh!

I think she's alright, but then I don't know whether or not her father has gotten ahold of her, yet. Of course, she was upset when it happened. Any accident is upsetting, but particularly your first, and when you don't have a very understanding father ... I remember when I told my father about my first accident. He was shaving at the time, and he wasn't using an electric razor. He nearly slit his throat. |

Ahhh, a typical Thanksgiving. I forgot to turn on the oven so dinner was delayed. I sliced open my thumb on a can and burned a finger in the oven. On top of which, my dress was missing a button. It was the best Thanksgiving I've ever had. ;D Everyone had a great time. Hope everyone else had a good Thanksgiving. I know not every country celebrates the holiday and some celebrate it on a different day. But Happy Thanksgiving anyway. |
