If we are talking about when we would back in time, then I would first go back and visit Eras that I am interested in. And then go back and tell myself not to make a mistake that I regret right now.

Time travel is so interesting. Oh the things we would be able to do or change. Although changing things may be tragic. Actually here is what I have been focusing on lately. This is a 3 minute video about the Large Hadron Collider, which is the newest and largest particle accelerator in the world. Check it out! cdsweb.cern.ch/record/986165public.web.cern.ch/Public/Welcome.html

I've watched too much scifi now to appreciate the dangers of time travel and what changing the past can do. If in that situation it must be hard though... a peril of Dr Who's job he must face every week

Well, we did it. We completed our third American Cancer Society Relay for Life Benefit. The location that we ended up in (after the roof came down) was really terrific. We didn't get the crowds that we wanted but we did end up paying our bills with money left over to donate to ACS. The kids were all on their stride the skating was fantastic, and the numbers were well received by the people in attendance (Hair Spray, Grease, West Side Story) the singers were great and the people who did see the show were really impressed so maybe next year we will do better as far as fundraising goes. Wanted to remind everyone on this site who lives in the USA to check out their local websites for Relay for Life activities going on in their area and continue to support the American Cancer Society as the Delaware Ice Theater has done through Edge Out Cancer. Relay for Life events are a great way to spend a day for a good cause!

I know I am probably the last person to figure it out, but I just realized who played Barty Jr. in GoF. Yeah, I'm slow. We watched that movie for Sci Fi Lit class. Alan Rickman in school, no way. I loved it.

I must agree, it is most certainly a very well worthy cause, and a great way to spend your energy and time. giggin

I went to at least check it out around midnight (I had been out of the house and was on my way home), but the location was a little out of the way for me to really see what was going on. That's something I'd like to do. I could be up all night. I'm real good at that. And I'm a charitable person, myself. It can all work out.

I hope no one minds if I post this here, but CoS forums is running an election for Minister of Magic and one of the teams is Severus Snape/Molly Weasley. The people who are running the campaign have done a bang-up job with campaign videos, speeches, favorite charities (A jumper for every child). It's really amazing, and a lot of fun to peruse. It's a very tight race, and the field has now been narrowed to Snape/Weasley vs Granger/Longbottom and Granger's team is now ahead by 6 votes. If you are a registered CoS member, and you'd like to vote, you can vote here: cosforums.com/showthread.php?t=118434 and show your support for our favorite Potions Master. Thanks a lot!

Just an update - the Snape/Weasley team came in second place with 118 votes to Granger/Longbottom's 129.
Many, many thanks to anyone who voted in the election. One thing is for certain: the character of Severus Snape may have come in second place, but he finally got the public support and respect he deserved.

SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D Did I mention it snowed today? ?? We got between 2.5-3 inches at my house. It was wonderful. Big, fat, wet sloppy flakes falling furiously this morning. Ah.... Then the sun came out around 1 pm, and most of it is gone. *sigh* And it is supposed to be in the 20s tonight, so the roads will be wet, icy and terrible tomorrow morning. But it was exquisitely lovely while it lasted. Snow in Dixie...can't top it.

It is not common practice at this site. Nobody has been "booted" or "banned" unless they have abused the site's rules. We encourage our members to check out "The Rules" thread to make sure they know what is expected of them here at ARAS. Our members and staff are easy going and all have something in common...our interest in the brilliance of actor Alan Rickman. We like to keep the site positive, respectful, and family friendly. I hope this answers your question. If not, feel free to mail me or any of the other staff on the site. We are all willing to answer any of your questions. We hope you are enjoying ARAS so far giggin
