I was reading A Breath of Snow and Ashes (the latest book in the Outlander series) for the second time, and Jamie asked Major MacDonald what he thought God laughing sounds like. I immediately thought of The Metatron. Only The Metatron can say for sure, but Jamie thought it was "a wee small sound."

I was thinking of Alan today when I went to WalMart! They had King Of The Hill season 6 on DVD. That's the season that has Joust Like a Woman on it!!! It's the one where Alan is King Phillip! Now I can watch it over and over and over and over again

Rainbow- Dogma offended me because I am a Jehovah's Witness and even though I am fairly liberal minded I found that just a tad too much and after an hour I switched off. I thought it was done in very poor taste. And no he does not answer his fan mail personally but I got one from his agent or secretary and she said that he does read it all. It was that letter that also confirmed him as Snape for Goblet of Fire.

I'm very sorry of new "off top".. But I'd like to thank you, TigerEyes, for your post because I've read it with much interest. The religious question was always very important in my life and after reading a lot on this subject I've concluded all the wolrd religions have one and the same essense. There is a difference only between form (rules, rituals etc) and content. Everyone chooses that way to God that is nearer for his soul. I'd love to speak of this topic else but it isn't indeed good at this thread (Excuse me once again! . But I also want to return to the topic of this thread. Lately I was reading the live journal by Deeindiana (that one who has read it understands what I mean), it was interesting to read her notes about the meeting with Alan. They were very funny, but made me think of Alan. I tried to imagine what I could say to him if I met him and nothing special came in my mind. I'd not ask him for the autographs (what should I do with these pieces of paper?), perhaps I'd say him some good things expressing my respect, but I don't really know because I have no idea what I could tell him else. However I believe the thoughts and ideas always come by meditating on something. And then they may be strange or silly, crazy or fantastic, the human's mind is a very complicated and enigmatic instrument, sometimes it makes me surprised a lot.

probably about to prove I'm nuts here...
had a very Alany day in the Garden.. planted a new grass (called Lucius, its dark green with little blonde hairs) and who can think Slythering without thinking of the head of the house right? then I planted Petunias (Celebrity mix) and everyone that is planted.. you can just hear Alan's Snape "Our new ...Celebrity"
and finally I was setting up the vegetable garden and my mom says in her very best Hans Greuber voice (which is so aweful it is funny) "hoe, hoe, hoe"

Had a couple of thinking of Alan days. Rereading The Starbridge Series by Susan Howatch (six books) and in Mystical Paths, he mentions Arabin from Barchester Towers and then Madeline Neroni and Mr. Slope also from Barchester Towers. Immediately, I thought of Alan as Mr. Slope in The Barchester Chronicles. Really must make the time to watch The Barchester Chronicles again. I haven't seen it in a long time.
