;)I think that Snape is still on the good side and working for the order,I believe that he was under orders from Albus, and that he had no choice, and I am pretty sure that someone else knew of this,I mean, how else can Snape give the order information,I have said this on some other forums, and I have no idea why I think this, but I really feel that maybe Arthur Weasley has some knowlege of this pact, knowing me,I am totally of the mark, but there has to be someone that Snape can trust....

Hmmm, i have never thought of it like that maybe someone else does know that Snape is really goodand new about the plan. I'm not sure about Mr Weasley, the clue maybe in the reactions when they find out that Snape has "killed" DD. Hmmm

I know there are lots of theories on Snape being in love with Lily, but does anyone have any ideas as to who would be in love with Snape? Lily, of course! She was the one who always stood up for Snape. You never know, she could have had a crush on him. Both her and Snape were good at potions so maybe since they had that in common, she felt attracted toward him(and he to her). I've been thinking, and I think there has to be something more to Lily being good at potions. It was mentioned so many times in HBP that I was thinking maybe this links her and Snape in a way? I dunno...

What about a love for Mcgonagal? You never know i guess but i can not see them together. If it is not Lily then it has to be an character we don't know. What about Alice Longbottom? You would think not by the way he treats Neville but then again he treats Harry horrid as well.
Unless *brain wave* What about Narcissa? She came to him at Spinners end for his help! Hmmm?

Hermione's mother perhaps? Okay way out there!
I'm a big Lily/SS shipper myself.
Have you noticed how SNAPE never mentions Harry has Lily's eyes. He always comments on the father and Sirius!
I think Harry and Snape will end up working together in Bk7! And can anyone give a clue as to his Patronus and Boggart? I think his Boggart has already been seen, him being the cause of DD's death! "I am no coward!" springs to mind.
The Patronus is a little tricky, I think though it is a fox!
The reason is worthy of an essay but I say it one sentence. His Patronus is Lily but it is how he would envision Lily, she had red hair, she was clever, cunning, protective, she was sexy and popular and boys flocked to her, she was in short a Vixen (not a scarlet lady Foxes aren't like that at all!) Foxy Lady! I would say Harry see's this Patronus and it leads him to Snape, Snape would be surprised and this would prove that Harry and Snape are meant to work together!
Sorry for the overlong theory but no-one's mentioned that!

I believe that Severus is, was, and will always be on his own side. And I believe (hope) that he and Dumbledore and the order happened to be on the same side of the line. I think that Snape will appear to be at Voldemort's right arm, then at a crucial moment, where Harry's life hangs in the balance, Severus will take the opportunity and deal the dark lord a blow to give Harry a chance. Voldemort will turn his attention from Harry to Snape, and in that moment, Harry may (somehow) permanently defeat Voldemort. I think Severus is a *crux of the story and a lot hangs on him. I think that most of the characters we have come to love will survive. I worry about Hagrid, though And, I like the idea of Lily and Snape having some sort of friendship/relationship. I look forward to that mystery being solved, and soooo look forward for more on Remus and Tonks It's gonna be a loooooong couple years between now and the final installment. *1. The basic, central, or critical point or feature: the crux of the matter; the crux of an argument. 2. A puzzling or apparently insoluble problem.

I believe in Severus being on the good side. I also believe that Fawkes is where Severus is right now, and this is how Harry is going to find out that Severus is on the good side . Harry trusts Fawkes, and when he sees that Fawkes is with Severus (when Harry finally finds him), he will finally understand that Severus is good without really needing any kind of explanation. I knew the moment Fawkes flew off at the end of HBP, that he was on his way to accompany Severus Snape in the fight against Lord Voldemort ;D! (I hope I am right)

Jo is still very vague when it comes to the Potions Master, but I think bk7 (HBP PART2) will be a lote moree snapee! He knows a whole load of background stuff which Harry needs and he is the only one in control now of the situation. Plus she let Snape out of the school pretty much unscathed. When you look at the history of the previous five it seems very lenient. Quirrell - Died! By Harry's own hands. (Snape can touch him w.o getting hurt.) Lockhart - No mem er what was I going to write again? Remus - Reputation severely damaged and now can no longer get a job. Barty Crouch Jr - Sucked out by a Dementor. Umbridge - Scared off the premises by Peeves and Centaurs, and has probably got jitterbugs and nightmares now because of it. Snape otoh gets clean away after murdering the Headmaster, and even with Harry at his mercy he does nothing to hurt him. Snape is the only one so far that seems to have gotten away with it! She let him go so that Harry and he can have a little heart to heart I reckon, whatever her reasons, Snape is NOT gonna die in the first two pages. I think Draco will!

Who would have loved Snape? Possibly someone in Slytherin, two peas in a pod perhaps. You know, the outcast kid hanging out with another outcast kid (though it's clear that Snape did forge some friendships with other Slytherins at that time (e.g. Malfoy and possibly Narcissa).
I agree, I still think he's 'good' and will prove it in the end though I am fearful that JKR will bump him off to prove it and I would dearly like a 'happy ending' where he is concerned!!! I mean, he has suffered enough, being a victim, then turning that around and causing pain to others but still 'alone', then turning his life around to a small degree and thereby gaining Dumbledore's trust (and I can't believe Dumbledore is so wrong on this matter). All in all, he deserves at least to survive after all is said and done but if he is to go, I'd rather it be through an act of tremendous and obvious self-sacrifiice to protect Harry or even aid Harry in killed Voldemort.

Hello, everyone. This is an odd first post for me, as I am more of an Alan fan than a Harry Potter fan, but here goes.....
I think the only person who ever loved Snape was his mother. This parallels, somewhat, Harry's story. Also, JKR doesn't seem much inclined to give old Snapey many attractive qualities.
Harry, Snape, and Voldemort seem to have many similar story-lines.
1) All 3 had one muggle (or muggle-born in Harry's case) parent.
2) All 3 had difficult childhoods.
3) All 3 had definite Slytherin traits (the Sorting Hat probably would have put Harry in Slytherin except for Harry's choice.)

I believe that Snape loved and still loves Lily and feels guilty because of her death and it's one of the things that made him join the Order.
I know that he called her a Mudblood, but: 1. Snape says that both Levicorpus and Sectumsempra spells were his (you'd dare to use my own inventions against me", and Harry tried to use the spells on him), 2. It means that the Potions book was in use in their fifth year, not sixth (Snape and Lily were both advanced in Potions and Sectumsempra together with Levicorpus were used in "Snape's Worst Memory" in their fifth year), 3. It means that James was using Snape's own spell on him, turning him upside down: what means that the spell leaked out somehow, 4. I believe that it was because of Lily who might, for example, have left Snape's book accidentally somewhere, that's why Snape's mean comment, 5. I don't believe that Snape taught his spells somebody from the Slytherin (he was alone in his worst memory, he had no friends, although he was great at Defence against the Dark Arts), and his spell might have leaked out because of Lily or because of Potter's Accio Snivelly's Potions book, 6. Lily is the best reason, because it explains the Mudblood comment very well, 7. Snape still hopes to win her but when she marries James, he becomes a Death Eater, 8. He can't stand Harry because he's the son of his biggest foe, but he helps Harry because he's Lily's son.
And I believe that there will be a huge revelation: Snape can love.

I still refuse to believe that Snape “loved” Lily. But that's just me. I do hope, however, that it’s proven that Snape is some-what good after all. But I came here to mention that there’s a competition going on at Mugglenet; it involves the participant writing the opening to book 7. I, personally, am going to enter. You can get more info about it here: mugglenet.com/competitions.shtmlWe could make the opening all about Snape, like in the 2nd chapter of the HBP. LOL. To prove his “ goodness” or “ evilness.” You decide.
