Squirrely, I love Vince Guaraldi (but that might be because I'm a major Peanuts nut)--he wrote "Cast Your Fate to the Wind", which is a favorite of mine. Cissy Cast Your Fate to the Wind is on my shortlist of favorite songs! It makes me happy every time I hear it. I listen to an eccentric mix of music: bluegrass (LOVE!), Country & Western, alternative 80's rock:REM, Talking Heads etc. , ,the Ramones, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Queen, classical music , opera, classical vocal, sountracks like LOTR (LOVE) blah, blah, blah. Right now my fave is still the LOTR soundtracks.

hey, candescence, don't worry...I love Phil Collins and Genesis too ;D...and fortunately, my sister is a BIG Genesis fan! Which means I can "borrow" her CDs frequently But I really really love Peter Gabriel. 80s music makes me smile...all the stuff I listened to while in school...REM, Depeche Mode, Simply Red, Tears for Fears, Duran Duran...wow.

legally blonde - I got the original Star Wars soundtrack as a present, all three of them I love John Williams music score and my favourite film soundtrack is Schindlers List, the violin is my favourite instrument as I tried learning it once, gave it up to volunteer for lunch time library service, but the music from that film is just so moving and makes me cry everytime I listen to it.

Ah, I haven't heard the soundtrack from Star Wars, then again I'm not a big ST fan. Schindlers List, hmmm, I might look into that one. I remember I loved the film music when I saw it. I also love the soundtrack from "Bridget Jones" and "City of angles"

Glad to see I am not alone in the Phil Collins thing!! And my when my son was born I remembered the words to "You'll Be In My Heart" and I just melted and even now when he hears it he asks me if that is our song. *sighs*
I have recently rediscovered Depeche Mode...I hear their newer song "Precious" and I remembered how much I love their sound so I downloaded a bunch of their stuff. 80's music in general makes me happy...all music does...and don't even get me started on Soundtracks!! SW, HP, any John Williams...and recently I have fallen in love with the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack, such stirring music there.
