Glad to hear that you got things under control, des. Me too. Just to let you guys know that my attendance at ARAS will be spotty for a while. My Mom fell and broke her hip. She's doing great after surgery this morning, but recuperation will take a while. I moved next door to her just in the nick of time. Her prognosis is very good and her attitude is even better. She'll be out playing basketball with the 12 year olds before we know it.

Taking a breather from everything to drop in. Thanks for all the good wishes. She's exhausted, but doing well. Looks like they're transferring her to rehab today. Oops, gotta run already. Duty calls.

It's been a bit hectic, but Mom will be home in about 10 more days. Then we'll settle into a routine. Right now, my primary goal is to get her house as fall-proof as I can before they release her. I've hired a couple of guys to do all the heavy work. And I'm making sure I get my nap time in.

amirab- how did you do with your bowling this weekend?

amirab- how did you do with your bowling this weekend? Wednesday, i got my bowling ball redrilled, because the thumb hole was too big. (you need to know this) Friday was when individuals place, my five of my mates went. I threw my first bowling ball, and the hole was too small. So my thumb was too big for the hole, and now I have a cut/scar on my thumb. And because of that, I didn't really bowl that well. I place 69 out of 75. But my friend Tori was in the 20's and a girl at Wayne (my rival school, but I don't think about that) was 17 pins off of going to states. Saturday, I got and was excited to go bowling. And I get there and get ready and I figure out that I'm the sub-in. I said okay, I'll bowl later. Mind you, that my thumb was bothering me a wee bit. There are games called baker games, that is when a person bowl one frame and then the next person.............So I am put into one of them and my bowling ball goes to the right, and I don't know why, and the coach pulls me out, and I didn't bowl for the whole time there. My thumb just hurts a wee bit, and coach thinks I had two opens because of it. The thing is is that she could have told me not to come because of the thumb and then I could have worked on a project that I had to do. (and did at the last minute, which was not that great of an idea) But we team came in 6th place out of 15, and the boys came in 9th out of 14. Wayne boys are going to states. They came in 2nd place. Again mind you this is the first year that there has ever been a bowling varsity team at Wayne or my school. Sorry that was long, but I need to say all of that.

no need to appologize for long- it was actually good- i learned something new ( you can get bowling balls drilled for size, you don't just buy what you want) it sounds like your team did pretty good for the first year, sorry if the final weekend did not go as well for you as you had hoped!

Has there been any update? Let us know if you see anything. I used to be friends of the family when they lived in Florida. But the very best news is that in the midst of my unpacking, I found all my AR DVD's. Sometimes life is very, very good. And my Mom is home from the rehab. Her hip is doing very well and she's walking like a champ.

Glad to hear that Johnny Depp's daughter is better, and so is your mother des. So I got a new kitten named Lacey, first picture is just funny, that is why it is up. She is a ball of fire, and she is crazy. And I have two tests to take tomorrow and the next day. The ACTs and the MME. Oh big joy. Sit in school for the whole day, taking tests. And I have two concerts to go to tomorrow and Thursday. Both of the same person. (don't ask why please) And Bowling ended a bit ago. The big banquet for bowling is on Sunday. Oh so much fun. Bowling is the first thing that I was on a team for, besides Crew, but that doesn't really count. O mAn Da

Amirab-Lacey is so cute. I like her tricolor markings with the orange spot.... when an Saluki dog has a spot there it is called the Thumbprint of Allah or Kiss of Allah, and the prophet's thumbprint is a sign the animal is special for anyone interested the rumor is that the "undisclosed illness" that Depp's daugher has is Blood poisoning from stepping on a rusty tack/nail www.therockradio.com/2007/03/johnny-depps-daughter-recovering-from.html

Thanks for all the good wishes, guys. Mom continues to do well, but there's a lot she still can't do. She has an aide that helps her bathe, etc., and a visiting physical therapist. That takes a load off me.
Amirab, Lacey is really adorable. Bet she's lots of fun. Sounds like your schedule is really busy. Good luck on your tests. And thanks for the update on Johnny's daughter.
SW, that Potter Puppet Pal video was a real hoot. Now I can't get it out of my mind, either.
Snape, Snape, Severus Snape.
Just a note, if any of you have bellsouth.net. There's a popup going around purporting to be a new DSL Help download. It's a scam and they ask for all kinds of personal info, which has led to identity theft. It popped up on me, but I stopped the download when they started asking the personal stuff.
