LOL - sounds like I have a nervous tick with Quills or something! ;D Hang on...do you really expect me to type out that entire name every time? Hahaha...Can't we just call you Quilly for short ;D? I know I'll mis-spell that one a million times over ....Only joking. Congratulations Quillywiggy....I love the new name! I also love that movie "Quills" by the way! It is so demented ...but I like it anyway !

As if 'Billywiggy' wasn't bad enough . . . hypatia is calling me 'Wiggy', so I guess 'Qwiggy' will do, as well. ;D Oh, I really liked Quills as well . . . creepy (especially so towards the end), but still quite good.

Quiggin That was what i was on about how did you know Alan's big Smile ;D Oh and love the new siggie ;D...but of course it was his smile...what else could you have possibly been talking about ? Thanks Qwinky! Think that could be Severus and Lily hugging inside the rose? I thought it was sweet ! Well...we talk about anything here. If we have a story to tell, and it is not related to Alan, or it has nothing to do with any other thread in this site, we just post it here, and we discuss it. For example, if we have an issue at work, and we just want rant and rave about it, to get it off our chest...we post it here, and perhaps someone else has a similar problem, and will want to post there story. Also, sometimes people post possible solutions to their problems, to try to help out. This is a very random thread that lets us release anything that comes to mind, because we needed a place to spill our guts on non-Alan related issues. We like being able to talk about just anything, and getting to know one another better! It has proven quite useful and helpful actually! I've enjoyed this thread very much! Also, instead of having to open new random threads to start up random conversations, we can post them here, and have the conversations here. That is another reason why this thread is so useful. It makes this site cleaner, and more convenient to use for members in my opinion ;D! Does that answer you question?

Hey, guys. What a 24 hours it's been ... Late last night I was talking with a friend online, and he had to go take a call, and when he came back, he told me it was his Captain, and that he's being deployed overseas - to Fallujah (however it's spelled), I believe. so I've been upset about that, and when I woke up this morning, I found out that one of our horses had died I wasn't particularly attached to the horse, but, still.... I'm hoping to hear more from my friend before he leaves.... I've never really known anyone else who's had to go overseas, no one in my family in the military right now; so this war has just now became very close for me. Know what I mean? *sigh*

Know what I mean? *sigh* I do know what you mean. My husband's nephew graduated from West Point not too long ago, and was set to ship out to Iraq in October. He'd just gotten married in July! Fortunately, his departure was pushed back . . . but still - it's scary knowing he'll be over there where so many have lost their lives and limbs. Also, sorry to hear about your horse!

I've never really known anyone else who's had to go overseas, no one in my family in the military right now; so this war has just now became very close for me. Know what I mean? I'm sorry to hear it angie. I've known two people to have gone to Iraq. Both have thankfully made it home alive. I understand the feeling all too well, when someone you know and love, goes to war. My father served in the Vietnam war, my older sister in Desert Shield (in preparation for Desert Storm), transporting vehicles to the gulf, and my brother served in Desert Storm and in Saudi Arabia (protecting the four star general). They all made it out alive thankfully. So, hopefully that will give you some hope that your friend will come back safely and everything will be o.k.! The best thing to do, is to just think positive in times like these!

My father was in the Air Force. He never went off to war, but he has been overseas (he was stationed in South Korea during the first Gulf War. At that time, my best friend's father was almost deployed to Iraq). My thoughts are with your friend, actingangie, and I hope he returns safely. **hugs**

*hugs to angie* I don't know anyone personally who has been deployed overseas, but I do know people who have family members over there. I can imagine it must be quite stressfull, especially with all the bad things that have been reported from over there lately. My thoughts are also with your friend, and I hope he comes back safely too.
