There could have been worse but i feel he lacked something but maybe he will grow into the character. I hope so... I don't want him ballroom dancing with DD when they have their duel. LOL

I didn't think that Ralph Fienes was that good, i wasn't scared enough he seemed a nicer Voldie in a way. I think it was meant to be that way... yes his lack of nose is a little unsettling, but as saw in CoS and again in HBP, young Tom Riddle is able to be quite charming and persuasive. I like that he didn't go for obviously evil, but a subtle and more complex interpretation. (and lets face it couldn't scare the kiddies too badly could we?) Also I loved how you could see him feeling out his new body, enjoying the feel of proper limbs, His movements had a creepy elegance. I think his Dark Lord definitely will grow and change before our eyes..

I cant see robbie not being hagrid Me either. Look what else they're saying: "Although not officially confirmed as of yet: Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith, Robert Hardy and Alan Rickman have all expressed enthusiasm to potray their roles once more in movie five, but confirmation awaits." Yay! Alan seems like he wants to continue. And they also said: "Filming begins in February 2006, not January as first reported."

OMG! I was reading over the casting and I just realized something... THEY'VE CASTED UMBRIDGE! I'm going to try to find a picture of Imelda Staunton because I want to know how she looks like. Here, I found one: I think I've seen her in movies before, just didn't know her name.

I'm too lazy to check, but wasn't she in "Sense & Sensibility"? As... whatsherface? The Giggly Woman? (I know her character has an actual name, but I've never paid *that* much attention to the non-Alan parts)

Yeah, she was the giggly Charlotte Palmer! I think she'll make a great Umbridge.
*thinks "Now, if they could only find a HP part for Hugh Laurie, I'd be delirious..."*
This will be an excellent movie 'cause they are including Snape's Worst Memory! We get to see Mad!Alan/Snape!!

Aha-aha! He was in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc!! I'm totally delighted to see Jason Isaacs more in OOTP, and to see Ken Brennaugh and Gary Oldman and David Thewlis again, and Ralph Feinnes. Now if our Mr. Rickman would get along and confirm and assuage our worries.... (I'm sure he will )

I saw that on Mugglenet, he is a bit to old for my Kingsley And they have also cast a young James Potter called Robbie Jarvis.

Cool! There's a Kingsley! I actually like that character; doesn't have a lot to say but he's really cool. But the actor who was casted isn't who I pictured in my mind. Any other movies he's been in besides Indiana Jones? (Didn't see the movie, actually, none of the I.J. movies. )

Yeah, he doesn't look like how I imagined Kingsley. I was thinking more along the lines of the guy who plays Eko on "Lost".
However...
Robert Pattinson looks nothing like how I imagined Cedric. And I swooned.
Ralph Finnes looks nothing like how I imagined Voldemort. And I was awed.
Alan Rickman looks nothing like how I imagined Snape. And, well, you know that one... :-)
Now, if only Alan would sign on...

From the Movie News thread: Mugglenet is reporting: Michael Wildman's (Casualty, The Merchant of Venice) agency revealed to CBBC today that he would play the role of Forbidden Forest centaur Magorian in Movie 5. Interesting. I do hope that they're not going to go with an all-CGI centaur like in SS/PS. It's quite painful to watch that scene, so I hope they've learned something from it...

Chris Rankin confirmed he was coming back for OotP as Percy last week.
But the next 24 hours should either be extremely joyous, or cause us to tear our hair out and rend our garments!

The actress who was chosen to play Umbridge will be perfect for that role, I'm sure! She looks so Umbridge-ish! I'd like to know that Alan confirmed his appearance. There could be no better Snape than he is. He's perfect as Severus. I'd like to see a young Snape too When it comes to Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort. I revere Ralph and adore him as an actor, but in the GoF I could see Ralph, not Voldemort. I guess that he looked too much like Ralph, with less characterization.
