I sooo hope Robbie Coltrane will play Hagrid. I do too but I really doubt he'll be returning, or so it seem from the little pieces of interviews I've read of him. And as Wikipedia has stated: And so far, they've been right about the people who've been casted.  |

Robbie Coltraine may not play Hagrid. I HOPE he plays him again. he is awesome as Hagrid. Sorry, but they can't change the Actors this late into the series--especially Hagrid and Snape and the Trio.

I didn't like Fiennes as Voldemort either. I guess that's because he looked too much of Fiennes and too little of Voldemort to me. I'd like to see Voldemort more changed.

According to Mugglenet, Alan has been confirmed to come back for Snape.
I'm so happy about that...no one can play Snape except for Alan..Alan owns that role. When I read the Snape parts of the books, Alan's sexy voice is what fills my head when Sevvie talks.
Yes, I called him Sevvie...sue me LOL

I'm easily frightened during movies and seeing Fiennes I wasn't so it speaks volumes what I think about Fiennes as Voldemort  It was too much of Fiennes, too little of Voldemort. And I imagined LV's voice in a different way, not to mention that Lucius Malfoy looked almost the same frigtening like Fiennes for me ;D |

I got scared when i saw him the first time becuz the way he moved but when u saw his face and his nose it was wired people where just looking at it like crazy!!

I think Fiennes does a great Voldemort. When that scene was on, he was so charismatic that I wanted to go and have that mark burned onto my arm!

I didn't dislike Fiennes either, though he wasn't as scary as I expected him to be. I loved how he depicted the scene where he caressed his head, just after recieving his body back. And funny, say it a little bit cheesy was the part where he could actually touch Harry because of the blood they shared. Made me laugh more than it scared me ;D Robbie Coltrane not returning??? That would be a crying shame. I actually can't think of anyone els who could play Hagrid better (but, hey, I'm not a casting director  ) Alan confirming to return was expected of course, but never the less it gave me nightmares thinking thay Snape would have been re-cast  I can't wait to see the movie! 2007 will be such a fulfilling year... |

I loved Fiennes as Voldemort, he is perfectly terrifying in my eyes. What is it with me and bad guys? Anyway...
I am looking so forward to the movie version of OoTP, I really am, especially after GOF. I did like it, but um, hello, the next one is full of yummy Snape moments, and really, lets face it, as Alan fans, that is what we are dying to see! Oh, hehe, and Lucius is in it too, like I said, me and the bad boy thing...
Any news yet on who is going to play the young Snape? Interesting to think about. Actually, it will be interesting to see any of the younger choices at all, for him, James, Sirius, Remus...any of them. I have been trying to think of who I would like to see and I can not come up with anything really definitive.

What? They are going to recast Hagrid? Who could possibly fill Coltrane's shoes?
I have to agree that I liked Fiennes in the roll of Voldemort. I've yet to see the extras but I understand it's an interesting bit about how they did the nose.
So looking forward to seeing what they do with the next movie though, how they manage to fit it all in and hopefully not cut any of the Snape scenes. That would be a travesty!

I don't think they've recast Hagrid, yet. There have been little hints for the past year that either Robbie Coltrane didn't want to come back or that he had a scheduling conflict. But I don't think anything has been confirmed one way or the other.
It'll be interesting to see what they do with OotP. I've always had the feeling that it will be a hard book to adapt to the screen.

Well i had i dream the other night (i have put this somewhere before) that Robbie didn't play Hagrid anymore and the role was given to Brain Blessed! My dreams have come true before but this one i hope dosen't because even tho i know BB would be the second best person for Hagrid he still wouldn't be Robbie.

IMDB had him listed earlier today as attached to the project, so perhaps there is hope yet for Robbie as Hagrid. I realize it is hard to avoid in some situations, but I so dislike when the actor for a long term project gets changed.

i thought ralph fiennes did a great job playing lord voldemort ...i can't see anyone else playing that part ...and i do hope robbie coltrane comes back as hagrid I love Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort, honestly Jo you complain at us having the bad boy syndrome what do you expect when you get gorgeous actors into play them! First of all we had Alan as Snape and then Jason Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy for the teenagers Tom Felton and then we get Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort. As for who could play young Snape here's a picture of a young english actor called Maxi Moffart, he's already played a nasty.  Oh and karma for you newbie! Winky22 I thought that the Gabriel Thompson from My Family would have been a better James Potter than the actor they have got oh well! I mean come on he and Daniel even look alike it's almost scary! I am actually interested in whether they ARE going to have Lockhart in the film actually as they could do that scene without the character imo. |
