July 2007...OOTP movie comes out....Simpsons movie comes out (yay!) and I turn 30...2 good things, 1 bad....LOL

Yeah now we have definite date on something to do with Harry Potter, I probably won't get to see it until a month after, I tend to let the hype die down before I see a film.

While I tend to hate crowds (and people in general), I'm going to go on the date of the release. Even a midnight showing, if possible.
For me, there's nothing like that shared experience with a large group of people who are as obsessed (if not more so) with Harry Potter as I am. I went to see PoA on opening night, and you could just feel the excitement in the theater. It only intensified as we made our way through the previews, and by the time we got to the opening titles, everyone was cheering. (not so much for GoF, but that's because I went on the second day it was out, so it wasn't nearly as an obsessive crowd)
I can't wait!

I want to see OOTP at a midnight showing, I missed that this time, but I did get the DVD at midnight...that was quite fun.

Hey you get in line and I am free and single and no children!
I probably will see it when the hype is still going, it depends on health and whether my dad can take me, I have to rely on my dad a lot!
But what do you guys think of the picture of the kid that I think could play young Snape? I really, really hope it's him. I mean come on he even looks like a teenage Alan Rickman!

I have a friend named Bradford (who's middle name happens to be Severus) and I swear, he could be the real life Snape....he's 26 (so that might rule him out) but he looks a lot younger than he is. He's got Snape's hairdo, wears frock coats all the time....He's just a cutie!

Yep...A real life Severus out there....and one of my closest friends.
The only downside? He has a boyfriend who looks like a darker-haired chubbier Lucius Malfoy....sorry to disapoint LOL

I am looking forward to so much of the movie...I want to see the scene where Sirius, Remus and Arthur all sit down and tell Harry what had been going on, the part right after Molly loses it with Sirius...I love how they all look to him as a son.
Then I can not wait to see the bit with Snape and Black...they ought to have some great chemistry and that bit in the book where both of their wands are out and pointed at eachother when everyone walks in the room...
Also the Occlumency and the Snapes Worst Memory...that ought to be great, most likely a highlight of the series if done right. That and the end bit at the MOM...though I am already sadenned at the thought of Sirius' death...that whole bit gets to me, the fact that he passes through the veil and then Harry tried to dive in after him while Lupin, though clearly distraught, grabs on to Harry for dear life...
I ahve such great expectations for this movie. Right now I think that PoA is the best film of the series, but there is so much going on in OoTP that I think it will soon be my favorite.

Oooh! I want to see everything everyone has already mentioned (Hee hee, no duh, huh?! ) PLUS . . . I can't wait to see the scene in Umbridge's office at the end of the book - when Snape comes in and says two of my favorite lines (paraphrased) "If I want to hear nonsense Potter, I'll give you a Babbling Beverage" and "Now if you want to poison Potter - and I would sympathize with you if you did - . . ." LOL! ;D I hope they don't cut that out!!!! |
