Look what Mugglenet posted: Another Snape. LOL. A young Snape, mind you. How werid. Well I'm glad to present the MOVIE thread for the OotP, seeing as a lot of the roles are filling up.

Yeah, the Occlumency lessons are going to be great! And it's obvious that they're not going to cut it out if they already casted the roles for a young Snape, Lily, Lupin, and James because Harry saw that memory a day when Snape cut their lesson short. Oh... I wonder who'll play the young Sirius.

Good. Young Snape in the Occulmency lessons. That's real good. Now let's get confirmation that Alan's back. I'm on the edge of my seat.

Oooooh, interesting. Once Alan is confirmed (I'll be majorly surprised and disappointed if he isn't), I will be giddy. Because man, oh man, it will be a great scene...

A young Snape! I'd like to see whom they casted...
And of course I'm so glad that Alan stays! I can't even think what a nightmare, horror and disaster would be if Alan quitted!

I am very happy that it will now be Kierra Knightly as Tonks! and I am dying to see who they cast as young Snape, and hoping that they cast an older actor, rather than someone of the appropriate age... if they actually find someone that looks like a young Alan I may find myself smitten.

Has it been confirmed that Rickman is coming back as Snape? I read that the Trio is returning and Jason Isaacs, who was the 1st to sign up for the new movie, is returning as Lucius Malfoy. I’d also read that Ralph Finnes was returning, but now he’s not listed anymore in IMDB. www.imdb.com/title/tt0373889/

IMDb says that some guy named David Yates is going to direct the film. I'm reading his bio on there right now, and I don't know any of his films/TV series. (Maybe it's because I'm not British.)

IMDb says that some guy named David Yates is going to direct the film. I'm reading his bio on there right now, and I don't know any of his films/TV series. (Maybe it's because I'm not British.) a couple of years ago Yates directed a Canada/UK/Romania co-pro called SexTraffic. It was really well done The topic matter was really unsettling, and Yates knew that, he wasn't afraid to push it. while the show has alot of sex and violence, it was at the same time not too gory or too graphic ( a talent he will need to execute the darkness of OotP for the franchise's younger viewers) the young star of the movie did win a bafta for her work. I should also add that this was a 2 part tv movie, and the storytelling was compelling enought to bring viewers back a second evening... based on this movie I am very excited at what Yates has to offer the franchise

I didn't think that Ralph Fienes was that good, i wasn't scared enough he seemed a nicer Voldie in a way. LOL I liked him but he seem creepy to me. And I don't mean the type as in "Oh my God! Run for your lives!!" but the kind that's "Hm... he seems weird." LOL He was moving around a lot and so gracefully... it was creepy. Had I met him in person, I probably would be creeped out enough to run away.
