Holy cow I hope that happens! I'm 15 minutes from Manhattan. We'd have him here in NY for a good while! I don't care what it takes, I wouldn't miss that one for anything.

New York and L.A. most likely. I think I even read that much somewhere. Which probably means here. But yea, independent films often don't get wide release in the USA. God, I just hope it comes out in Region 1 DVD.

Snow Cake is released (according to IMDB) in New York and LA on December 1st A USA limited released from December 25th As you may have probably seen me grumble, the nearest cinema to me showing Snow Cake in 75+ miles away I guess it depends if you hit lucky with a 'limited' release and unfortunately I wasn't a lucky bod.

Does anyone know how you check on the "limited release" part? Is it just a matter of waiting until closer to December and checking out what each and every individual theater is going to be showing around Christmas? Not that it'll come to my area, but I'd wondered if it might come to Phoenix, Arizona.

I would think its just a case of waiting to see the listings for your local cinemas, that's what I had to do, and keep your fingers crossed! I don't think there's any pattern to the limited-ness, at least there doesn't seem to be in the UK.

It'll never come within an hour's drive of me, of that I'm sure. I live out in the boonies.
I just hope it does well enough for a DVD release.

ok so there is no Nobel Son movie thread yet, and this is not quite news because it has apparently been out there for a while.. anyways Paul Oakenfold is doing some work on the soundtrack www.aolmusicnewsblog.com/category/electronic/page/2/ about halfway down the page while the imdb page makes it sound pretty serious, Oakenfold's music and this quote from that article makes me think otherwise "It's like 'Pulp Fiction' meets 'Snatch,'" he says of the movie, directed by Randy Miller. "It's kind of an MTV demographic, and they wanted more electronic music than traditional scores."

Yeah wooooooo Alan and Johnny in one film, pretty phenomenal movie that's gonna be! Alan always comes across as so articulate and smart, diving around political questions and answering very cautiously but honestly. It was good to hear the voice of velvet again Thanks for the link squirrely!

Alan and Johnny in the same movie? Singing? Yes, please! Yeah ... I had to laugh when Alan said something about seeing if he and Johnny could sing. I looooove Alan's singing voice, and as for Johnny, he first went to Hollywood to pursue a music career, so I'm guessing he can sing. Did I ever tell you guys that I used to work for Johnny's father and his sister used to do my nails? Actually got to meet him (during his 21 Jump Street days) and he was better looking than on TV. But I really enjoyed Alan's interview with his quiet sense of humor. And the Snow Cake clip made me want to see that movie more than ever.
