I really hate it when they do that? And offensive words? What offensive words? The only words that offend me is Robin Hood! ;D

only my fellow rickmaniacs will understand
so my friends and I were headed out and invited another friend along, the conversation went like this.... "come on, join us" "not tonight" "join us, or die"
I thought I was funny, it was lost on the others...*sigh*

Offensive words in this movie? Other than the "Kevin Costner" credits, I sure can't think of any!
squirrelywrath, don't feel bad...I'm always quoting Alan's movies (this one in particular), and no ove ever gets it...*sigh*

I have used the " I'm going to count to 3 and there won't be a four" line from Die Hard. No one got that one either. LOL

I mentioned this film the other day to a boy and he never even heard of it! I just hope I've educated him!
"Call of Christmas!" is by far the funniest line ever!

You know what is really funny to me?
Alan screaming Call off Christmas in this movie and in COS, there's a line that says "Snape looked as though they cancelled Christmas"
I just thought that was hilarious!

I am so glad I am not the only person who thought of it!

Yes I love that to and I spotted it.
You know what's weirder? The book is set in 1992, (it's Nearly Headless Nicks 500th anniversay that clearly states he died in 1492!) And so what if Snape went to see the film? He could have got ideas from it!
Ignore the first paragraph it's just me being silly. It's on tonight. *SQUEE!*

We've talked a lot about how bad Kevin Costner was in this movie and I decided to see if there were any other KC movies that I liked. I checked out the list of his movies on IMDB and found only two that I liked him in. Bull Durham and Field of Dreams. He was okay in The Untouchables, but Sean Connery was the #1 guy in that movie as far as I was concerned.
I don't get out to the movies much and usually end up watching them on TV. Tin Cup was the last one I saw KC in and that was a totally forgettable movie with a totally forgettable performance.
My rating ... KC is okay but Alan rules.

The only other Kevin Costner movie that I've seen is "Field of Dreams". "Field of Dreams" is one of my favorite movies. But I was really disappointed with Costner in Robin Hood...

I like Tin Cup and love Dances With Wolves. But other than that Costner is very much ignored in my film collection.
"Cut your head of with a spoon!"
Well Sheriff you'd need a big spoon for Costners big head!

In my 32 years in the film and tv biz I got to work with many top actors, alas Alan was not to be one of them. The 1st A.D. on Robin was an old mate of mine (David Tringham) and he asked if I could do a few weeks with him on the film as one of the ''Merry Men'' but I was working elsewhere so couldn't make the gig. (It was my loss) Alan was the best thing in the film. I did manage a few jobs though ;D
Aitch,
